Christmas Pinata

It was our year to spend Christmas with my family but we made sure to have some fun with the Pead's as well! This Christmas Pinata was a blast!

Little Sister's Wedding

My little sissy got married on August 30th in Park City, Utah

 

It was a beautiful wedding and I LOVED seeing some of my aunts, uncles and cousins

 

There was great food (BBQ and crepes!) beautiful shabby decor and fun music

 

We all had such a good time!

Griff turns SIX!

Almost everyone knows that Griff loves Halloween

 

Luckily he was born in October so it is all very fitting

 

For the past two years he has had a Halloween bday party and that was the plan for this year as well

 

At the last minute, I decided that I totally did not want to do the party

 

I was able to talk him into something else but still have the Halloween theme (since I had already bought stuff)

 

He was all about it and chose Laser Tag

 

Easy Peasy!

 

So he invited a few close friends (boys only this time) and we headed off to Laser Tag and had a BLAST

 

Kason and I got in on the action and it was seriously so much fun

 

Then we came back to our house to do cake, presents and play outside

 

I LOVED that the entire party was somewhere other than in my house

 

Can't believe my first baby boy is 6!

 

 

 



long time coming :: the yard

our yard is HUGE

 

we have literally been talking about it and planning it for years

 

we have gone back in forth about moving or building but it's looking like we will stay here a tad longer

 

so I think the yard is finally happening this time!

 

it's going to take a little bit of $ because of the size but I think we are finally ready for it!

we have a porch and a sandbox now (2 things, yay for us!)

up next: a riding track around the perimeter of the yard (basically a sidewalk)

then some grass, plants, garden, fruit trees, swing set (maybe?)

Griffin seriously works his butt off and Nolan and Magz usually play around and knock pecans out of the tree to eat

Nolan is not a worker boy like Griffin is, he is hilarious about hard work

....he's just not that into it!

I LOVE that my kids are outdoors kids

 

one Saturday morning they went out in their PJ's and set up a campfire

 

I watched all of this go down from my kitchen window

 

they got the camping chairs out of the toy hauler, gathered sticks, got forks and marshmallows and roasted away!

 

it was one of the best things to watch

 

so so cute

 

 



Nolan turns 4

kept it low key this year for Nolan's birthday

 

we ate at Black Bear Diner, went bowling and had cake and presents with just Mema and Pepa

 

I seriously felt terrible when he asked when his friends were coming

 

I've got to make a decision about how I want to do birthdays because I don't think they need a friend one every year...so we will see

 

he ended up being content and I am sure he felt very loved!

little buddies

these two have gotten much closer with big brother going to school everyday

 

they are usually very hot and cold but have become the best buddies lately

 

they like the same TV shows, games and books

 

Nolan has gotten much softer and sweeter with her and I love seeing their little bond strengthen

 

 

 

There is still the occasional beat down given by Maggie when Nolan bugs her
