Havin' Fun!

I took these pictures of Andi on Sunday and thought they were too cute. I just wanted to add them for everyone to see.Image

Here she is just after returning home from church. She's such a happy girl!

She has yet to roll from her back to her belly, but recently has been a little more interested in trying.

She has gotten as far as her side but hasn't gone any further. I'm sure she will soon!

Her daddy has been working on his bike in preparation of the warm weather to come (in a few months). He just had to have a picture of his little girl on his bike.

5 Months & Sitting Up Already!

Andi turned 5 months old on January 9th. ImageIt's unreal to think that I have a 5 month old baby! She celebrated her 5 month birthday a few days early by sitting up on her own. ImageShe had been working on it for several days/weeks and was finally able to do it for an extended period without falling over. One day she even balanced and caught herself before she fell over. It's so neat to see her doing all of these fun things!

She had her first drink from a sippy cup today. The pediatrician told me that I need to give Andi a vitamin supplement so we tried to disguise the horrible tasting drops in some juice. She's either smarter than we think or a very stubborn child because she wouldn't take them even in the juice. So if any of you mom's out there have any ideas on how to get a 5 month old to take some yucky tasting drops, please let me know!!! She has also started reaching out for her toys and us when she wants to be picked up. It's the sweetest thing to see those little arms reaching up for you. And my favorite new thing she does is gives kisses. She used to suck on your cheek when she was hungry, but now she is giving these sweet slobbery kisses and not expecting food in return! It's so precious! I could go on and on for days about how wonderful she is!

ImageImageHere she is watching her "TV". It's a cute rainforest that lights up, moves, and plays music. Her cousin Julia gave it to her for Christmas and she loves it as you can see!

Andi's 1st Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Our first to celebrate with Andi! Having her brought a whole new meaning to the holiday! We were in Bentonville for a little over a week and were busy visiting friends and family as always. If we didn't get to see you while we were home, we apologize, but we usually don't have enough time to see everyone we want to. Maybe next time! We celebrated Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Cody's family. Both families were happy to celebrate with Andi! Andi received so many wonderful gifts! Too many to tell about, but I'll highlight some of her and our favorites in the pictures below.

This was one of my favorite Christmas outfits of hers. Her Mimi gave it to her.
It looks like she's a cute Christmas present, Imageand it has a cute saying on the back of the outfit too!
"Good things come in small packages!"Image
We went bowling on Christmas Eve with Grammy, Grumpy, and my sister's family. Grammy was happy to sit and hold Andi while the rest of had a great time bowling!
ImageThis is our little family ready to go to church on the Sunday before Christmas.
Image1. Andi with her cousins Grant and Gracie. Cousin Julia couldn't be here this year. We missed her a lot! Grant and Gracie loved holding baby Andi (as they call her). 2. A precious jewerly box from her Grand Bea. (Andi's Great-Grandma) 3. A telephone from her mommy and daddy. My sister thought it was funny that our first gift to our daughter was a phone. She loves it, and it's educational too! 4. A rainforest from her Aunt Cara, Uncle John, and Cousin Julia. She figured out how to turn it on at 7:40am this morning. Luckily, she went back to sleep to the sound of it! 5. A light up ring stacker from her Aunt Paula, Uncle Matt, and Cousins Grant and Gracie. She loves the lights and sounds it makes. 6. Another ring stacker from her Grammy and Grumpy. She was very interested in this one because it has beads in the top that move and make noise.

There were also some gifts that Andi loved giving this year! 1. She (and her cousins) gave Grand Bea a photobook full of pictures of her great-grandchildren. Each great-grandchild had pages just for him/her inside the book. She loved the book as you can see by the smile on her face. 2. Andi also loved the gift she gave her Grammy. It was a photo calendar full of pictures of herself and her cousins. Now Grammy can see her grand kids every month of the year! 3. Andi didn't give this next gift, but she still had something to do with it. Her daddy gave me a beautiful birthstone ring with Andi's August birthstone (Peridot) in it. It was a special gift that I cherish! She also gave some special gifts to her Mimi and Pappy, but they would kill me if I put their pictures on here since it was early Christmas morning when they opened them. Andi gave her Mimi a collection of pictures of her, and she gave her Pappy a coffee mug with her photo on it. Grumpy got a special gift from her too, but it wasn't anything with her photo in it. Sorry Grumpy!ImageImageImage

Andi left Santa some yummy cookies that I made a few days earlier. She was very curious about his cookies though! In return for the yummy cookies, Santa left Andi some wonderful gifts under the tree and in her stocking too!

Andi was given some wonderful gifts by her Mimi and Pappy on Christmas morning too. 1. She received her first Razorback outfit! I can already hear her calling those Hogs! 2. She also received an Elmo Live. Elmo talks, tells jokes, dances, etc. She loves to watch him! 3. Her daddy received an iPhone, and 4. her mommy received 12 colorful place settings of Fiesta dinnerware! We had a great Christmas too!

We had a very special Christmas! Our favorite part was getting to be with our families and having our baby girl to celebrate Christmas with this year! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families as well!

4 Month Checkup

Andi and I went to the pediatrician on Dec. 18th for her 4 month checkup. I was very excited to see how much she had grown since her 2 month checkup. At her 2 month check up she was 23 inches long and weighed 11 lbs. 7.8 oz. At her 4 month checkup we found out that she is now 25 1/4 inches long (79th percentile) and weighs 14 lbs. 4 oz (57th percentile). She has more than doubled her birth weight at this point and grown over 5 inches since she was born. It's so neat to watch her grow! She's "talking" and laughing a lot these days. Our carefree days of not worrying about her grabbing things are long gone because she can't keep her hands off anything now! Watch out for your plate if you're holding her at dinner time! She's still sleeping 12 hours at night and is on a better nap schedule recently. She takes 2 naps a day usually for anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour each. Hey, at least it's something! The doctor said not to worry since she's sleeping so much at night now. She also said to count my blessings because most babies who are nursing don't sleep through the night at this age. We're definitely lucky! We haven't started solid foods yet but will around 6 months probably so that's something to look forward to. Her newest thing now is trying to sit up on her own. She's really anxious to do that by herself apparently because she's constantly trying to pull herself into the sitting position. It's neat to watch. Tonight, she was sticking her little tongue out and trying so hard to sit up while laying across my lap. We are truly enjoying watching our little girl discover so many new things!

Here she is in her snow bunny pajamas that her Grammy bought her. So cute!
She loves the bunnies on the feet!
