Happy 4th Birthday C.J.!
Happy Birthday to one of the most amazing little boys I know! Four years ago today, God blessed us with one of the greatest Christmas presents imaginable. We had no idea what we were in store for with a little boy, and we could not have imagined what we got. Today, you are an amazing little man, complete with a full personality, caring heart and lots of love. You love to build and discover and explore. You are busy, full of passion and life. We love you more than you could ever know! Happy Birthday, Little Man!!!!

Bathroom Renovation Progress
We have moved on to tackling the bathrooms in our renovation projects....what a process! We started with the kids/hall bath for now, and have plans for the other two hopefully in the near future.
Here are some before pictures:
Bath tub surround area:

Ugly bathtub:

Toilet/sink area:

Floor in the bath area:

Vanity area with carpet:

Her are the pictures of the process during the renovation:
The took out the old tub and replaced with a new one, and tore out all the ugly tile surround as well as prepared the plumbing:

What a mess it was:

They replaced all of the surround with new hardy board and began tiling the surround:

They put in a shampoo box built into the wall with the mosaic accent:

Then, they ripped out all of the old flooring and replaced with new coordinating floor tiles:

And, then the grout was in.....

The completed tub and surround with new fixtures as well!...

A new shower curtain adds the final touch....

Vanity area with walls painted, floor tiles with grout and a few accessories....

We also tore out some old paneling and are in the process of replacing it with new bead board paneling. The walls are painted, but still need to paint the bead board, trim and cabinets.
And, the granite countertops still need to be installed with new sinks and faucets.
But it is well on it's way to looking like a usable bathroom!
More to come....

House Update
Just a little update on what we've accomplished around the house for those of you that are not keeping up with the remodel on its blog ... www.project2312.blogspot.com.
The completely finished projects include the three bedrooms that we use. We have cleaned, painted, decorated, put in new blinds and window coverings in the kids rooms, new ceiling fans and most recently put in new carpet. So, here's what the bedrooms have transformed to..

Off To Second Grade!!!!!
Our little girl headed off to second grade today...sniff, sniff! Ok, so actually that was tears of joy for mom because I was ready. Yes, indeed, I was! I LOVE my children wholeheartedly, but there is definitely a time for summer break to end, and with this heat, the time is NOW!!
So, we met her teacher Friday morning....Ms. Dillon. She looks very sweet and fun, and we think Hayley is really going to enjoy her!
Here they are at Meet the Teacher.....

And, today, it was off to school bright and early! We all walked her to school and into her classroom. I will do that every year until she fights me, and maybe even then! Ha!
Here she is all ready to go....

Our annual picture at the sign....

And at her desk where we left her, ready to go!!....

Here's to hoping for an awesome 2nd grade year for our sweet little girl!!!!
