Jack's first birthday party!!

A couple of weekends ago we had Jack's first birthday party!  I can't believe my baby boy is 1 year old already.  The theme was camouflage and we asked everyone to dress in their best camo. It was so much fun to have a boy birthday party there was no pink to be found :)   We also had a waterslide there. The kids loved it. Even though it was the end of May, it was almost 90 outside so the waterslide was a nice way to cool off.  Jack LOVED his camo smash cake!  He dug right in. Thanks to all of our fmaily for making his first birthday so special.

So a couple of weeks ago we took Abby (and Jack) to Frankenmuth, MI, to have lunch with Cinderella. She was so excited!!  Abby loves the princesses! She had such a great time.  We stayed Saturday night at a hotel in Frankenmuth and then Abby and I went swimming in the hotel pool.  We walked around Frankenmuth and on Sunday we went to Bronners and bought some Christmas stuff.  It was a fun weekend, but it was also a sad weekend because while we were in Frankenmuth, Eric's grandpa passed away. He will be greatly missed.  RIP Grandpa Don, we love you lots! Here are some cute pics of lunch with Cinderella!

Breaking up the concrete. It looks like Eric did all the work, but really,  I helped him, his dad helped him and Dave helped him.

And now, you can't even tell there was a pool there.

I am so excited to have the pool filled in finally. It has not worked in 3 years. So it was just sitting there are a safety and health hazard to the kids and the rest of us.  It will make selling the house easier. Which is something we are hoping to do really soon! Abby has loved playing in the open space and Jack will soon as well!

Ok- so I am really behind in blogging, so I am going to try and get a few blogs in.  April 2nd, Abby turned 4 years old. She is getting so big!! We have been talking about what pre-school to put her in next year. I can't believe my baby girl is old enough for pre-school.  Anyway, Abby's party this year was a Rapunzel theme.  And Abby loved it!  She loves Rapunzel. Here are some pics from Abby's B-day Party. I did not get a chance to take any pictures of her cake, good thing the grandparents did so we at least have some cute pics of the cake.  Abby got lots of presents she loves, and she plays with them almost daily. SO thanks family and friends for all of the wonderful presents!
