Welcome to our blog

Hello everybody! I figured this is the best way to post pictures and video so everyone can see them. We have been in Bingo, NY for 4 months now and we love it out here. Life is slow and laid back. People are real nice. Even when they tell me I'm a heretic for being a Mormon, they still say it with a smile. I just finished a week of opthalmology. I had thought that this is what I wanted to pursue, but after spending a week looking at peoples eyes and smelling their breath (you have to get real up close and personal), I decided that it wasn't for me. The surgeries were really interesting though. It is amazing what they can do to your eye these days.
Life at home is never the same. There are 9 of us here now; Jason, Steph, Addie and TJ then there are Melinda and Jakub and Seth and then Addie's dog Midnight and TJ's cat whom he named Batgirl Lily Coombs but we all just call her Cat. As in 'get off me Cat!' or 'Midnight leave Cat alone!'
Melinda is going to respiratory therapy school in Pennsylvania, and her boys go to preschool with TJ. All four kids just finished their soccer season, and Addie did very well. There is a competition indoor soccer league here and we signed her up for that. It will be good for her because she will be playing on a team of 9 and 10 year olds so she will have to push herself to play on their level.
Steph took a 2 week job as a stocker at a department store. She doesn't start for another week, but they called today and asked her to be the assistant manager in charge of the Home Goods department. She said that she keeps praying for ways to make ends meet, but she isn't sure that she wants a 40 hour work week at a department store.
