Summer Lovin'

This summer my hubby (TJZIII) and I (JZ) were able to send some good quality one on one time with our niece (Lil'EZ) and nephew (JZ1).

There were some sad times (RIP Lady Liberty Belle) and many more fun times. We especially had a lot of time with Lil'EZ; she stayed with us for over a month. Between the yoga sessions, swim parties, shopping sprees, yummy food, and plain old good quality time, it was a great summer overall. One highlight was a trip to Knott's Berry Farm, just me, Lil'EZ and one of my besties, Laurie.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for

Shaved ICE! Get Shaved is a new summer tradition for the Zs. Way back in 2007, JZ, TJZIII, LJZ (Momma to JZ1, TZ, and lil'EZ), and JZ1 were in Kauai and had THE.BEST.SHAVED.ICE.EVER! Well, we now have the real deal here in Socal: Get Shaved. This June was the first time heading to their Torrance store and they did not disappoint. We returned again in July and headed there one more time a couple weeks ago. 

Of course in true Z fashion, we documented it.

Meet some of the Zs

From top left, clockwise:

• Lil' EZ - Sassy, talented, beautiful teenager. Currently a high school sophomore, photographer, and master of "silly" faces. Loves Bacon!
• JZ- Almost, not crazy wifey, dog mom, and soon-to-be Trojan (Fight On!). Hardworking, nonprofit worker bee. Married to TJZ III and mom to Spyke, the Boston Terrier and Zooey, the English Bulldog pup. 
• Big EZ- Amazing, wood-working, creative poppa to Lil'EZ, TZ, and JZ1 (and pup Izak). Dedicated, newly minted civil servant. Big brother to TJZIII.
• JZ1-JZ1 is #1 since he was JZ before JZ. Brew master, super smarty pants, currently studying computer engineering at Cal Poly.
• TJZIII - Smart ass, stay-at-home hubby, and dog dad to Spyke and Zooey. Currently a senior, studying HIStory at University of Maryland; aspiring corduroy with leather patched elbows blazer wearing professor. 

This is just part of the clan. We are an adventure seeking, smack talking, super in love with each other family. More to come.
