I turned the BIG 3-0!

It doesn't feel all that different to be 30...I am just happy to be alive and healthy! I enjoyed celebrating at the Sunset Grille with family and friends. Thank you to those of you who helped make my 30th birthday a special one!

Big Apple Adventure

Wow...what a week! Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church was fun fun fun! Jared, mom, and I taught the 1st grade kids and they were soooo good. We were quite blessed with this group! Brooker had Mrs. Tina and Mrs. Andrea as teachers and he had such a good time. On the final night of VBS we had a little program for the parents to watch and at the end two kids, a boy and a girl, got to put a pie in the preacher's face. This was quite comical and everyone got a good laugh! Lots of people came together to put on a great week for these kids...they definitely learned more about Jesus and had FUN!

Mom's birthday was on Saturday so we celebrated at Panera Bread after church today. Happy Birthday Mom!

Howard Family Weekend

This weekend Jared's company, Howard Fertilizer & Chemical hosted a family weekend at the Marriott hotel on Marco Island. The beach there was GORGEOUS! We enjoyed getting to know some of the other children and wives of the salesmen. Everyone was so fun and the kids had a ball together! While Jared and the other guys were in meetings on Monday and Tuesday, the wives and kids played out by the pool. Brooker and the boys (Mac and Jackson) were often found in the arcade, going down the slide, or at the ping pong table. The girls (Belle, Madison, Jordan, and Jaylyn) were in the pool, getting their hair braided, making friendship bracelets, and more. Mary Kate hung out me and the other mommies. This hotel was a great place to take kids...so much to do! We look forward to getting together next summer!

"It's My Kinda Party" Tour

We went with some good friends to see country singer, Jason Aldean in Tampa. It was so much fun! He has a lot of really good songs and even though the amphitheater was outdoors, the weather was perfect...nice breeze! Newcomer, Chris Young opened up for the concert and he was great as well. Thank you Amy and Eric for inviting us to be part of this evening with you! And a HUGE shout out to my wonderful SIL, Leslie, for keeping BOTH of our kids and BOTH of her kids so that Jared and I could get away!
