New Year's Eve Camping

To celebrate the New Year we joined lots of family and friends for some good ol' camping! We've heard great things about Hardee Lakes and were excited to give it a try. The kids had a blast playing with LOTS of other kids whether it be ranger riding, power wheels, bicycles, flag football, kickball games, football watching, eating, and so much more! On New Year's Eve one of the families projected a movie onto the back of a camper and the kids enjoyed watching that while the adults chatted around the campfire. We didn't make it to midnight but that didn't bother us one bit! Here's to a fabulous 2015 and an even better 2016!

Afternoon at the Barn

We gathered at the barn today for one last hoorah before Bo heads back to Kentucky...luckily the rest of his family gets to stay a little longer! Jared grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and the kids practiced shooting the BB gun, having adventures in the woods, exploring the creek, and much more!

Merry Christmas

Look who came to our house last night! Yep, ol' Santa himself. He even left these two pictures as proof of his visit. The kids were so happy with the gifts he left them...a gymnastics mat and vanity for Mary Kate and a Kindle Fire and Scooter for Brooker. Around 3 a.m., Mary Kate woke up and then proceeded to wake up Brooker. They both came running into our room to tell us that Santa brought Ranger a bone in his stocking. Mary Kate was so excited that he didn't forget about Ranger! Haha. We told them to go back to bed and we would check out all their cool gifts in the morning. Crazy kids!

Our next stop was Mammy and Pappy's house for a little visit with some of the extended family. Nene and Pepa came for a visit which was so nice. They brought gifts for the kids. Brooker got the new Hess truck and all the girls got adorable stuffed horse toys.

After the extended family left we (the Brooker family) had our Christmas together. We all opened gifts then hung out for awhile. The kids played outside and then decided it was just too hot and they jumped in the pool where they spent the afternoon staying cool! The rest of our evening was spent at home relaxing and reminiscing on our beautiful Christmas day...the day of our Savior's birth!
