Dinner

I had to document this so I won't forget it. I probably won't, but just in case!

A couple nights ago I went to a friends bday get together and kind of spaced that I would be gone for dinner and that Derek would be home starving. I realized while I was leaving. I just thought maybe he'd have some canned soup, because that's what he usually makes when I am gone.
Well when I walked in the door at 9:30, he was making a full on meal! Using the oven & the stove! I was so impressed. He made a coated chicken with a creamy sauce and green beans with onion & bacon. Yum!
I have never seen Derek cooking in the kitchen. But I must say, it was kind of a nice site! Haha!
He said he got the recipe off of Facebook. So cute. I guess I should leave him starving more often :)

Hola Mexico!

First things first, I know this is 4 months late. But hey, better late than never, right?!
And beware, major picture overload. But I want to make sure to remember the trip.

We went to Mazatlan the week before Christmas with Derek's family. Bruce and Shauna wanted to surprise all of us but we announced we were prego, so they just let us know. And then Mitch and Marissa announced they were prego and sadly her due date was during the trip. So they weren't able to come. We missed them. They eventually told the kids a few months before the trip.

On our trek to Marci's. We stayed overnight with her since we had to be at Seatac at 4:30 am. I didn't sleep that night, as well as Zane.

 Bright and early!

Little Zane was the BEST traveler. I was sooo nervous for the trip but he did amazing. He slept like this a lot. We wore coats and long sleeves and we started to sweat right when we got off the plane.

Next morning the girls got their hair braided. This lady was so fast.

 Running into the ocean.

If you look closely, he's asleep. Poor guy.

 One of the pools.

Iguana that would get into the pool. Weird.

Just trying to take a picture of the sunset and this guy keeps bugging us to buy junk.

On a tour of a new fancy condo.

Weird celebrating Christmas when it's warm.

Something bit Keston. We still aren't sure what it was.

Way too many pelicans would come and visit.
Image
Shae and I went para sailing. It was a lot of fun. Its actually not scary because you are just above water.

Image
We went zip lining in a tiny little town over an hour away and stopped at a little 'bakery'. We found this little guy snoozing away.
Image
After zip lining they fed us the most amazing meal ever. By far the best on the whole trip.
Image
At the beach later that night they had hundereds of baby turtles that were only a few days old. Everyone got to choose one and let it go into the sea. I guess turtles remember where they were let go and will eventually return in 10 years. That is if its still alive.
Image
We named them and let them race into the water.

Lots of this happened. Those car seats are heavy!

Our condo. We were the second to the top left.

Blake and Rianne were getting married that next week. They are so romantic and went on a horseback ride while watching the sunset.
Image

Image
We looked strange standing on the corner waving down a cab to go to church. We stood out for sure.
Image
The cabs were just pickups with benches.
Image
 Church!
Image
It was so fun going to their church. It really was an eye opener to see how other countries live.

On our way home, we were tired and tanned and ready to get back for Santa to come.
Image
We got home around 1:30 Christmas morning. We didn't get to bed until 5:00, we got busy looking at Christmas cards that had come while we were gone and getting presents ready.
We loved the trip and already miss it!
