We are still here :) Here is a very quick review of our last year. (never a dull moment with these kiddos)
We got plenty of snow in February. (all within 3 week span) Few snow days were greatly appreciated by the kids (and me) We took advantage and enjoy snow Steiger style.

NYC Day 4.

On our 4th day in the big city we took a LONG train ride to famous Coney Island in Brooklyn. The ride it self took over 30 minutes. We were there bright and early and the first thing we saw was Nathans Famous Hotdogs. Guess who was excited about that.
By the way our trip to NYC was last fall I am just now catching up on our busy lives.

Image
Nate happily posing up front of the original Nathans famous hotdog stand.
We had a lovely  morning to take a walk on an almost brand new boardwalk (the original was destroyed last year by super storm Sandy)
Image

Image
We couldn't leave without having a little taste of Nate's favorite hotdogs even if it was early in the morning.

I believe this one is a chilly dog.
After that we ventured into town to get a taste of Russia. (For some reason I don't have any pictures). We were admiring local stores with Russian signs. Most people didn't even speak English. We also got a little taste of Russia. The kids liked that a lot.

Fruit anyone?
After that we took a long ride back to town to walk on Grandma's favorite bridge - the Brooklyn bridge.

After a walk through little Italy and Chinatown we headed to the 9/11 memorial. One of the places the boys put on their list of places to visit in NYC and I am glad they did.

After a long day waking the we were all hungry and looking for a place to eat. One of the things on Sam's list was to eat burrito on Broadway (don't ask) and guess what there was a Chipotle on 281 Broadway and we walked there to have one of our favorite meals. After our bellies were happy we asked the kids if they wanted to head home or do something else (crazy parents) and our kids were all up for more fun. We took the ferry to Staten Island and back. We got to see the Statue of Liberty and we had a great view of  lower Manhattan.

NYC Day 3.

On day 3 in NYC we headed to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. (This was on the boys list of places to visit in the city and we were all glad they did) Before we left for the city we looked into museum passes and learned that our museum pass covers admition to the Intrepid. We were at the entrance nice and early ready to see lots of plane etc. (oh and one big rocket).
Image
Can you tell they are excited?
