Goody, Goody, Gumdrops!

We have found a pacifier that Callie will take...sometimes. I definitely wouldn't say she's in love with her paci, like her mom was, but after trying several different kinds, Grandma Johnson ordered her some that she'll take. They are called gumdrop pacifiers. I think the hot pink paci is just too cute in her little mouth!ImageWide-eyed and Content

2 weeks old!

Well, I'm finally back from my hiatus from blogging. Charlie did a great job helping out while I was taking my break. I can't imagine the hate mail we would have received if he had not posted. Thanks, Honey!

Callie turned 2 weeks old last night at 6:33 p.m. These last 2 weeks have been a wonderful blur. Days just run together, and I'm getting used to just taking naps and never actually sleeping. I can't complain, though. She has been doing an amazing job with eating and sleeping. She seems to have her days and nights straight, often sleeping 4 hour stints at night. I try to feed her more during the day so she's full and ready to sleep at night. Of course, having Grandma here has been a HUGE blessing, and I know I'm not going to get the full affect until she leaves. She has been putting her back to sleep after I feed her, and this allows me an extra 30 minutes to an hour of sleep after each feeding. I will be napping a lot more during the day once she leaves, but that's what motherhood is all about. I love it, and Callie is so much more than worth it!!

On Monday, we took Callie for her 2 week checkup, and everything looks great! She weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz., which is almost a pound over her birth weight, and measured 22 1/2 inches. Way to grow, Callie! That put her at 98% for height and 88% for weight. It's not really a surprise but still fun to know.
We took these pictures below on Sunday, 19th.

Easter, First Bath and more

Hello all, things are great here in sunny California. So much has happened since the last time I blogged. Callie has started sleeping well, so we hope that continues. She only gets up a few times a night to eat and always poops right then too, so we are/have been getting sleep in 3-4 hour increments which is pretty good. Once she goes down she doesn't move, we usually end up waking her up to eat, just because she has to. We had an uneventful but good Easter Sunday, Callie watched her first Master's Tournament and we took some pictures in an Easter dress even though we decided not to go to church. We don't want to take her out and about just yet. Other than that, Richard (aka PawPaw-Pappy, aka Kelsey's dad) is coming out this Friday to visit and I am going back to work tomorrow. I decided that I could finish my Paternity leave from work later when we don't have all the help around here. The blogging will probably start to taper off a little now, but we will try to update as much as possible.

Video Trial Run

Friends, this is us leaving the hospital. My video uploads look messed up on my computer, but maybe it will look normal to you.

Callie's first check-up and visitors!

Hello friends and family, Charlie here with another update to the blog. I have posted a few more pictures upon request and will continue to do so as I can. Callie had her first check up with her pediatrician yesterday and all looked well, they were slightly concerned about her weight loss, but she is almost back to here birth weight now that Kelsey's milk came in. When she returned from her appointment there were visitors anxiously awaiting her. Mike and Susan (my dad and stepmother) flew in from Houston to see her for a short spell because they just couldn't wait. We had a short, but good visit with them. Also, Chris Early stopped by to say hello. Chris is one of my best friends and fellow Texas A&M buddies. We look forward to Richard (Kelsey's dad) and Virginia and Carrie (my mom and sister) to arrive in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more pics.

Callie's Home!!

We're home!! Callie slept all the way home in her fancy new car seat. She was fussy at first, but then she got cozy I think. She is looking/doing great. We stayed an extra night at the hospital because she was breathing a little fast, but all the tests confirmed that she is doing great and is healthy too. So far she has blue eyes and a little brown hair, but I still think she is going to be a blonde. She weighed in at just over 8 lbs. this morning, dropping a little since birth (they say this is normal). Right now she is still asleep from the car ride. She has been feeding so well and so much the nurses and doctors say she couldn't do any better, so we are so thankful. Kelsey is making a speedy recovery and feeling great too. She is still pretty tired, but did manage to get some sleep last night. Cheryl has been an amazing help so far and I'm sure will be how we get through the next two weeks. Videos to come soon, as soon as I figure the camcorder out (Carrie, I need help call me). Thanks to everyone for prayers, support, calls and emails, they were awesome. Disclaimer: Again, I don't know why, but the pics are in reverse order. Kelsey will do the blogging from now on.

There's a new Stocker in town!!!

Introducing Callie Dianne Stocker!!! She weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and is 22 in. long. Long and lean like her Daddy!! I'm sorry the pictures are in reverse order, I don't blog much and I usually mess it up. Kelsey did an amazing job during the delivery. She started pushing at about 5:00 p.m. and Callie came out at 6:33p.m. Here are some pictures we got yesterday, obviously more to follow, including some videos.ImageCallie's First hair wash

Image The team minus Cheryl. Dr. Zaid on the left and our RN, Rumiko on the right they were both incredible all day. Of course the star of the show in the middle. Her little hands hadn't even turned pink yet here, she was only about 10 minutes old.

I think its baby time!!

Friends and family,

Today is Kelsey's due date and she is having contractions already, about 3-5 minutes apart! If this continues for another half hour or so, we are gonna head to the hospital. Please pray for us and we will keep you posted on here or via email/texts.

"Waitin' on a Woman"

More like a precious baby girl but Charlie really likes that new Brad Paisley song, and I thought it was appropriate because that's how I feel right now. We are just waiting for something to happen. It is the wierdest feeling to know you are about to go through one of the most significant events in your life and not have any idea when it's going to happen. I guess that's part of the excitement!
We had another dr. appt. yesterday, and there wasn't much progression from last week. Last Thursday, I was 80% effaced, no dilation, and this week my Dr. said I am 80-90% effaced and still no dilation. She doesn't think Callie has dropped yet either. I think she may have moved down a little because my trips to the ladies' room have become more frequent, but I don't think she's dropped much either.
Overall, I'm feeling really good and have not reached the "miserable" state that a lot of moms say they are in at the end. I am just enjoying the time that Charlie and I have to spend together before our lives turn upside down (in an amazing way!). Tonight we are going on what will probably be our last date before Callie arrives, and tomorrow my mom will get here so then we'll really start all those "naturally inducing" methods. My next blog will probably be to announce the birth of Callie Dianne!!!
We are going to try to shoot out an email or text when I go into labor because I know a lot of you want to know, and we would greatly appreciate prayers that everything goes smoothly with the delivery.
We can't wait to meet our baby girl!!!!
