2 month checkup

On June 1st, I took Callie to her 2 month checkup. I couldn't believe how fast the time had gone and how fast she'd grown! Everything looked great and she was still at the top of the charts on both height and weight. She was 24 1/4 inches and 12 lbs. 7 oz. (98% and 93%, respectively) She also had to get 4 shots in the leg and 1 oral shot. Poor baby! She did well and only cried for about a minute, but later that evening I think she was hurting because she was pretty fussy. The next day she was back to her happy self!

At 2 months, Callie:

-is the light of her Mommy and Daddy's life.
-is lifting her head very well.
-likes to be up on your shoulder so she can check everything out.
-is very alert and observant.
-usually sleeps 3 to 4 hour periods at night; sometimes less, sometimes more.
-smiles a smile that can melt anyones' heart.

Our little Precious Angel Baby Girl or, as Charlie likes to say, PAB-G (He's used to too many acronyms in the Marine Corps.) could not be any sweeter. We love her with all our hearts and can't wait to see what God has in store for her.

Beach Babe

I have a LOT of catching up to do! I'm going to start before we even went to TX so it might take me at least a week to get up to date. Needless to say, our summer has been very busy and fun!

In late May, we decided to introduce Callie to the beach. We bought this neat little beach tent so she could stay out of the sun. She stayed awake the whole 2 hours we were there but was happy in her bouncy seat for most of it. I'm a big fan of this tent!

We didn't even buy her a bathing suit this year because it is way too cold. We had to wrap her in a beach towel because her little arms were freezing.

We need a wagon to haul all this junk. It was a workout getting to and from the water!
