What a way to start the day....

This morning, I got up before anyone. Strange... Emma is usually our 5:30am riser. ugh. So I made some coffee, had a little quiet time, reading the Bible, and my devotion for the day. Down walks sweet Alli. She crawled into my lap and I told her I was reading my Bible. "Can I read it with you?" she asked. So we read the verse for the day, which was 3John: 11. Talks about not imitating what is evil, but what is good. So we talked about how God wanted us to do good and not bad, even when others were being bad. Great little devotion for Alli before school, etc. She asked if she could pray. AHH... this melts my heart when I hear her sweet voice say.. "thank you for my many bless-ins." That is my little southerner. ;) She is truly a sweetheart. Such a pure soul. I am so, so blessed. God is good. Thank you for moments like these....

Just when I thought it was safe to let the girls have crayons again, I walked upstairs to a huge "mural" in the hallway. Black crayon. I brought Emma over to it and asked if she did this. "Yes, mamma" hanging her head and making a pouty face. I talked to her about why we could not color on the walls, etc. I did my whole talk and then sat there waiting for her response. Silence.... still with her head hung and that pouty frown. Then she throws her arms up in the air, smiling, and shouts... TA- DA!!!!!!! ;)

Sweet Prayer

Tonight I watched sweet Alli clasp her hands, bow her head, and say her prayer that went like this.... "Dear God, Thank you for my family and many blessins. I hope you had a good day today. I love you. Oh, AND don't let the bed bugs bite!!!" :) What a sweetheart! I am still smiling.
