Encinitas

We escaped the heat again for a really fun weekend in Encinitas. We rarely head to California for the sole purpose of hanging out at the beach and that is what we did this time. Two long beach days and we loved it!! The Carusos, Grandma and Uncle Mike all came along. We celebrated Uncle Mike's 40ty birthday. It was so much fun to have him there!!

Fishing

Our last Colorado adventure was a night of fishing and dinner with our friends. We had no luck catching any of the fish that were jumping all around the pond. Last time, all the kids caught a fish. This year none of them did! They were a little bummed but got over it quickly. Ellie said that fishing isn't her thing! Quinn loved playing with the worms and tried wrapping one around her wrist for a bracelet. Patchy was the most disappointed he didn't catch a fish, even though he wore his lucky fishing hat.

Keystone

We love spending time in Keystone. Greg gets some good mountain biking in and the rest of us play and walk around the little village. This year we had a picnic, learned how to play checkers, miniature golfed, played at the parks and ate Mary's Mountain Cookies.
