WEEKEND FUN WITH THE PAGES

Sutton and I had a much needed relaxed weekend at home. We watched movies and spent some time together. We saw the Bourne Supremacy and the Bourne Ultimatum (this one is my favorite so far). We have recently discovered the beauty of Netflix. It was so nice to find a movie in the mail on Friday when we got home. On Sunday, we went to early church and then drove down to Eldorado to paint and tag modules. It was cold and windy, but we got it done. Here are a few pictures for my friends who aren't familiar with cotton modules...Notice that Sutton let me get a little creative on the last module. We were glad to discover that there was actually an extra module in the field. We had lunch at Rosa's and then went to see P.S. I Love You. Sutton endured this chick flick and I absolutely loved it. I have never cried that much in a movie! In fact, my eyes are still swollen today. Go see it if you are a lover of chick flicks. I promise you won't be disappointed! I am off today for the celebration of MLK Day and enjoying time getting caught up on things. Hope you are having a great day! I'll post again soon.

LONG TIME- NO BLOG

Well, after over a year of not updating our blog, the Web Pages are back! I have added lots of new posts to get you up to date on what we have been doing recently. I hope I don't overload anyone...It is my hope that I can update the blog a couple of times a week this year and that this can be our own little on-line scrapbook. Hope you enjoy and please check back soon!

TICKLED PINK...

Image Last night we helped host a couples shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby White. If you haven't noticed our group loves to throw a party. It was fun to have Esther and Phil back in town to help...It felt like old times again. As always, Randy and Patty did a wonderful job hosting. No one can throw a party like the Gardners. Here are a few pictures from the evening...The first one is a picture of all of the hosts and hostesses with Justin and Ashley kind of in the middle on the couch.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Image We welcomed in 2008 with dear friends. We had a small get together with great food, great drinks, and great fellowship. The Whites hosted the party. Here are a few fun pictures from the night. We reflected on the fact that 2007 was a year when we began our friendship with Lori and Jeff and we are so thankful for their addition to our little group. We also looked ahead to what 2008 holds with the upcoming arrival of Baby White. 2007 was a good year and we look forward to a great 2008!

After Christmas and a busy fall, Sutton and I took a short vacation to Las Vegas with a group of friends. This was Sutton's first time...We gambled a little, saw a Cirque show, saw the Bodies exhibit, saw the Titanic artifact exhibit, ate alot, and if you can believe, actually got some rest! We stayed at the New York New York.

MORE CHRISTMAS FUN...

Image Here we are at Rick and Nancy's before our Christmas dinner which was an amazing meal! The table was beautiful, the food was perfect (filets, asparagus, and the most amazing mashed potatoes ever- Great job with the butter, Chels:) ) and wonderful time with family.
Image On Christmas Day, we drove to Dallas to see Sutton's mom, Nancy, and stepdad, Rick. The girls got handmade aprons from Nancy...We had such a fun time cooking Christmas dinner together wearing our cute aprons!

Image The five brother in laws (on the Oman side)...I love this picture! We took these before Sutton and I left for Dallas to be with his family.

Eight Oman grandchildren...Christmas morning was so fun to see them all together. I had a hard time getting a great picture of all of them at once.

Sweet Caroline slept through all of the noise.

Image We had Christmas with Sutton's dad, Paul, and his family at our house. Here we are before our Christmas dinner of Lucy's Border Stew, cornbread, and brandy alexanders...All favorite traditions around here. Caroline slept through it, but we made sure she had a place at the table.

NEW BABIES...

Lots of new babies in our life in 2007! We have a new niece and 2 new nephews in our family. My sister, Judith, and her husband, Chris, welcomed twin boys in October, and Sutton's sister, Chelsea, and her husband, Casey, welcomed a sweet baby girl in October, as well. We are so blessed and proud to be Aunt Johnna and Uncle Sutton. Sutton's brother, Russ, and his wife, Becky, are expecting their first baby in August of this year...We can't wait! The top photo is a picture of Johan and Josef about a week after they were born. The other photo is a picture of Sutton holding "sweet" Caroline a few hours after she was born.
