BABY M UPDATE

Image
I am way behind in getting these pictures posted...But, just in time for sweet Baby M's pending arrival (any day now), I thought I would post a few pictures from my friend, Jeffi's, baby shower. Because Jeffi does not know the sex of the baby, (however, her husband James does and has been able to keep a secret this long...) we decided to do a split personality theme with a girl side (hot pink and zebra) and a boy side (John Deere). It was a lot of fun and I loved getting to meet all of Jeffi's family and friends. I'll update the blog when the baby gets here. They go in tonight to be ready for the induction tomorrow. Please keep Jeffi, James, and Baby M in your prayers.

We had a fun weekend spent watching the Eldorado Eagles in the high school baseball playoffs in Crane, Texas. Sutton's youngest cousin, Garrett Lux, pitches for the team. Garrett is only a sophomore and has a 7-2 pitching record for the year. He is also a great hitter and we got to see him get the game deciding RBI in the 3rd game. The Eagles won the series 2-1 against the Ft.Hancock Mustangs and they will go on to play in the regional semi finals next week against Follett. This is extremely exciting because this is the longest Eldorado has gone in the state baseball playoffs. We hope they will go all of the way! Garrett had alot of fans on hand to root him on this weekend including his parents, Mike and Becky, Grandma Lux, Aunt Nancy (Sutton's Mom), Sutton, and me. We'll keep you updated on the Eagles' progress toward the State Finals.

*Edited- the Eagles lost in the next round, but Garrett and several of the other players are returning next year so we hope they will continue their success then.

THANK YOU!

I just wanted to say thanks for all of the thoughts, prayers, and encouraging words following the death of my Nanny in April. I appreciate them all very much. I hope everyone is doing well.

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!

Hope everyone had a happy Cinco de Mayo! Today is of course my favorite holiday, as it is also my birthday! I am officially 31 years young today. We have celebrated all weekend starting with a wonderful brunch on Saturday morning in Dallas at Rick and Nancy's. Then we celebrated our friend James's 30th birthday Saturday night in Miles. Sutton and I relaxed yesterday and saw a movie for the first time in several months. Then we enjoyed an awesome dinner at Justin and Ashley's last night. The chocolate cake was to die for! Today, Sutton and I spent the morning together and because he had to be away this evening, he surprised me with flowers and two sweet cards this afternoon. It has been a great birthday. Lots of sweet calls, messages, and cards...My birthday always reminds me of how blessed and loved I am! I am so thankful for such a wonderful family (my own family and the amazing family I married into) and such dear, sweet friends. Thank you to everyone for making it a special day!

P.S. I have lots of fun pictures to post so please keep checking....
