Santa Party!

Tonight we went to the Lee's Annual Christmas Party. They have a Christmas party for their granddaughter and her friends and we look forward to this party every year. We have yummy food and wait for Santa's arrival. Santa arrived just after dinner and all the kids took turns sitting on his lap. Miss Molly wasn't so sure about sitting in his lap, but she did agree to let daddy hold her while she saw him! I just love this time of year and all the fun activities!

Polar Express!

Last night we went with some friends to ride the North Pole Express! We met at our friends house before the big train ride and had dinner and decorated cookies. The kids were all so excited and had fun wearing their PJ's on the North Pole express! Santa even came through the train to see all the kids. We had a great time and are planning on doing this again next year!

Matthew's School Christmas Program

Matthew had his school Christmas program last week. He did a great job and was so proud to be the Inn Keeper in the Christmas Story. He did a great job memorizing his line and said it perfectly! He sang well but didn't smile much during the program...I think he took it very seriously! We were so proud of him! When I asked Molly if she saw bubby up on stage she said, "Yes, he has towel on his head"...funny girl!

Waiting on Santa...

Santa drives down our street each year on the firetruck during the month of December. The kids are always so excited about this event and can't wait to see what candy will be thrown their way! On Monday night we heard the sirens and the kids hurried up out of the bath to wait for Santa! Unfortunately, he didn't make it to our street that night...but he DID make it to our street last night! We had had some friends over to play and they were just leaving when we heard the sirens. All the kids were thrilled to get to see Santa and can't wait until he rides through on a firetruck again next year!

Making a Gingerbread House!

Last weekend a neighbor invited Matthew over to make a gingerbread house. He loved making his house and didn't want any help from mommy! It is now proudly displayed in our kitchen!

The finished product! What a little man...he was more concerned with the yard than the house!

Nana comes to visit...and Papa Doc comes too!

The rest of the week was just as busy as the first few days, but I guess I "slacked off" on my picture taking because I don't have many pictures! On Wednesday, Nana kept Molly while I had an appointment and Matthew was at school. Of course, we did a little more shopping on Thursday and Friday...Molly was so good for us on all of our shopping days! Matthew continued to love having Nana as a playmate. They built "Matthew's Awesome Zoo" and had me take a picture. Molly loved the zoo because it was something she could tear down! :) Oh well, at least we have a picture of it! When Papa Doc arrived on Friday, we all went to dinner and then to the Gaylord Texan to enjoy the Christmas lights at night. It was beautiful! The kids loved the giant gingerbread house and had fun watching the trains again. They even got their shoes shined along side daddy while exploring the Gaylord! Seeing the lights was a fun tradition to start and got us all in the Christmas spirit. On Saturday we went to Bass Pro Shops and had the best time. The kids rode on the carousel, ate popcorn, shot play guns and pointed out Christmas ideas. We ended the day with a lighted Christmas parade. This was so neat and a tiny bit cold! We will definitely brave the weather again next year to catch a sight of Santa at the end of the parade. Thanks to Nana and Papa Doc for a great week!
