Thanksgiving in Arkansas!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Arkansas!  We started off our visit by seeing the Daily crew.  All the kids had a great time running around in the woods, roasting marshmallows and jumping off things (Melissa, Kara and I tried not to watch...boys will be boys).  After catching up, we headed back to Nana and Papa Doc's house for a birthday celebration.  Aunt Kara turned the big 4-0 last week!  The kids were more than willing to help her blow out her candles. Happy birthday, Kara!

Nana was under the weather for Thanksgiving Day (kidney stone), so we all had to pitch in to make Thanksgiving happen!  We definitely gained a new appreciation for all that Nana does to make Thanksgiving so great.  The food was delicious and the company even better!  We missed those that were unable to come and enjoyed having Richard's dad and grandparents join our crazy crew for the day.  We definitely have a lot to be thankful for.  The kids had fun playing outside the whole day and even talked several of the adults into playing basketball.  We were thankful Nana was able to join us for our family picture.

While the boys are away...the girls will play!

While the boys were on their campout, we had a fun girls weekend!  We started off the weekend with an afternoon at the park and dinner with friends.  The weather was beautiful so we planned a zoo trip for the next day after her soccer party!  We had so much fun seeing all the animals and taking our time.  These two girls love the zoo!  We topped off the day with dinner at our favorite place...LaHacienda Ranch.  I love my Molly girl so much and love our "girl time".  Looking forward to making many more memories together while the boys do "boy" things!

Molly's favorite birthday gift...

Molly has been asking for the last year to get her ears pierced.  I don't know what started this obsession, but we told her we would consider it for her 6th birthday.  Molly had her birthday party at Sweet and Sassy.  This is where most girls go to get their ears pierced.  On a whim at the party we asked if she wanted to get her ears pierced while her friends were there.  Of course, she said yes!  Unfortunately we didn't think about soccer and the rule that they can't wear jewelry.  We promised her we would go back after soccer season (secretly hoping she would forget...not a chance).  The day after the season ended we went to get her ears pierced!  She did great and was so brave.  Not one single tear or any hesitation.  We celebrated with pizza afterwards.  Look at my proud big girl!

Happy 6th birthday, sweet girl!

Jaguars Flag Football

We had another great flag football season...thanks Coach Daddy!  The boys all love playing quarterback and just have a fun time playing flag football.  We even had four flag football games in a row one Saturday...not a single complaint from the boys.  They never seem to run out of energy!  Way to go Jaguars.  Another great season in the books!
