Girls Weekend!

While the boys are away...the girls will play!  Richard and Matthew were gone on their Father/Son Choctaw campout this past weekend, so Molly and I had some good girl time.  On Friday night we ate Mexican food and headed to the mall so she could spend a gift card she had gotten for her birthday.  Of course, we couldn't leave the mall without a cookie!  After we got home, we got in our PJ's and watched "Paw Patrol" in bed.  My girlie slept with me and Jasper both nights...lots of good snuggle time!
On Saturday, Molly decided it would be a great day to ride bikes to the donut shop (one of our coldest days this Fall).  We got all bundled up and did just that!  We even stopped by Cade's house to say hi to him on the way home.  After some play time, she decided she wanted more bike time...so we rode to the park and played at Kid Country.  Super fun (but COLD) times with this gal!  A little hot cocoa was requested to warm us up when we got home.  We finished off the night with dinner, play time with a neighbor and makeovers for mommy and Molly.  She decided it would be fun to do "crazy" makeovers.  I think we accomplished that.  After lots of scrubbing, we hit the hay and woke up to a trip to the bagel shop and church.  I loved having so much one-on-one time with this girl.  I think she is pretty special!

1st Grade Field Trip

Molly had her first grade field trip to the American Airlines Flight Museum.  We watched a movie on the evolution of flying and enjoyed touring planes, seeing how wind affects flight and made a craft.  It was a fun day with my big girl!

Final Fall Baseball Tournament at Heroes Field!

We had our last baseball tournament of the Fall season at the Mavs Ballpark (also called Heroes Field) in Dallas.  This is a 1.5 million dollar single-diamond youth ballpark located in the heart of downtown Dallas.  The field is unique in that it has sunken dugouts, raised pitching mounds, a left field “green monster,” warning tracks, still and TV/video camera pits, two batting practice tunnels, two bullpens, outfield wall professional scoreboard and now an all turf playing surface.  The boys were so excited to play here again.  All in all, we had a great weekend.  We made it to the semi-finals and lost in a California tie-breaker (well, we really lost due to bad calls...but, I guess that just happens sometimes!).  I am super proud of my ball player.  He is all heart and definitely leaves it all on the field.  Hanging up the baseball cleats until Spring!

Jaguars Flag Football!

It was another great flag football season for the Jaguars!  Coach Williams did a great job and single-handedly coached this team, finishing 6-1-1, outscoring our opponents 190-27.  Not bad!  For our final two games we won both by a total score of 78 to zip.  Nice way to end the season boys!  Thanks Coach Daddy for all the fun and enthusiasm you bring to the game!

Fireballs Soccer!

Matthew ended a great season on the Fireballs, scoring two goals in his last game and assisting another.  Great job, buddy!
