I had a fun Pioneer Day celebration with Ricky and Dick on Wednesday.  They invited me to lunch and Ricky even picked me up and brought me home.  I loved it.  Thank you both! Ricky's long time friend Bryan was married to his sweetheart on Saturday night.  Ricky and Becky were invited and we got lucky and had their three little ladies at our house.  What fun it was to have out home filled with their voices.  Miss Harper has grown up a lot in the past two months.  She is now not only walking, but running and has a magnetic attraction to my stairs.  She's great at going up but has no concept of the coming down part.  We had to keep a close eye on her to keep her safe.  We had fun swimming in our blow up pool and we enjoyed watching movies in our sleepover room.  Brooklyn and Addison requested a bubble tubby which they loved too.

This weekend is Peach Days in Charlottesville.  Jake, Tatia, Penny and Maxwell enjoyed the afternoon at the peach festival with Jakes Cousin Nan and her hubby Jon and their little boy Wyatt.  They had peach donuts and fresh picked peaches.  Yummy, I can almost smell those peaches.  They are sure enjoying their new town and love discovering new things each week.  Tatia was called to serve on her wards Relief Society committee.  She enjoyed her five month break from the committee and is looking forward to getting acquainted with more sisters in this ward.

Charlie' family drove to Salt Lake on Thursday and Friday to attend Keltzies reception in Salt Lake held last night.  My sister Laurie hosted a family brunch on Saturday morning and I LOVED seeing all the photos Laurie took. I loved seeing Keelie and Callum playing with their cousins.  What fun. Thank you Laurie for having them stay with you and for taking such good care of them.  They should be on the road heading for home today.  What good travelers Keelie and Callum are.  Have a fun ride home.

Pierce was out of town again this week working on the documentary filming/editing.  I'm sure glad Stacy's mom is there with her.  I was sorry to hear at the temple on Friday that Stacy's aunt Jan had passed away this week.  She fought hard but that nasty cancer won the battle.  What a great loss for Stacy's family.  Hard times.  I haven't seen a new photo of Miss Adelaide this week, hint hint.  I miss you little one.

I got a text from Skyler telling me about a fun Saturday night date he and Kara had.  They were going to go to a movie, which was sold out and right next door there was a blues/barbeque going on. Somehow, they were selected to be judges at the barbeque contest and had a wonderful evening sampling all the tastiness.  Sky continues to hunt for a bike and had some fun test driving one on Saturday morning.  He said there are some sweet bike if you've got the $$$.  He was walking home from work on Friday and walked past the set for the new Planet of the Apes movie they are currently filming.  What a fun place they re living in.  Love it!

In September of 2007, Dick was called to be our Bishop in the Plano 4th Ward.  Today he was released from that calling.  He has served well and it is now going to be our pleasure to sustain our new Bishop who is Bishop Jeff Gunn.  Dick was blessed to serve with the same two great men for all these years.  Rich Bailey and Craig Crandall have both been the best counselors he could hope for.  It's kind of a funny feeling to have that responsibility released from you.  As I am typing, Dick is taking his first Sunday afternoon snoozer in almost six years.  He's got some great ideas of things he's like to work on during his new found free time.  I'm so glad to have a partner to sit with in Sacrament meeting again.  It' going to be good to have him home on Sundays.  Dick, you have done a fine job.  Your service has blessed our family greatly.  We've been blessed with seven grandchildren while you have served, one new son in law, two new daughters in law, and so many other blessings I can't even count them all.  Thank you Heavenly Father for allowing us this time to serve.  I'm sure it won't be long before they have a new calling for Dick and he will once again be busy.  Probably never again like the service he's been able to give these past six years.  SLY Robynn

Guess What?  The Mansfield Thiot girls are HOME!  Yipee,  Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!  Becky, Brooklyn, Addison and Harper arrived home late last night after a months get away to Nana and Papa's in California.  I've just been smiling thinking about them being home.  I can hardly wait to get my arms around them for some good hugging time.  What an adventure they have had.  I can't wait to hear all about it in person real soon. Welcome Home Girls.  I know your Daddy is soooooooo happy.  Grammy and Graypa are too!

After many raining days, the sun shine came out and Penny has discovered splash parks.  She was a little hesitant at first but has since learned that getting water squirted on you is FUN!  Baby Max enjoyed tanning on the grass with his mom while Penny played.  Tatia had Relief Society during the week this week and learned to make both pickles and strawberry jam without sugar.  I can't wait to try it.  Jake was Tatia's hero Saturday morning and gave Tatia the morning to her self.  He took Max and Penny to the Chldren's discovery museum and they had a fun time there.  Tatia enjoyed her time weeding the yard and tiding up the house.  She said she kept listening for her "littles" even though they were gone.  Well done Jake!

For the past six months, ever since Mackenzie's darling little sister got engaged, Mackenzie has been helping to plan and prepare for her wedding.  Keltzie and Jordan were married on Friday morning at the beautiful Sacramento Temple.  What a beautiful and magical day it was.  Charlie said it was just perfect and amazing.  All of Mackenzie's hard work paid off as Keltzie and Jordan were so happy.  I loved the photos Charlie sent and it felt just a tiny bit like we were there too.  Thanks Charlie!  This week they will leave on Thursday to drive up to the Open House/Reception in Salt Lake where Jordan is from.  I do believe Char's family will be staying at my sister Laurie's home.  She has the funnest home for little people ever.  Callum and Keelie, you are in for a treat!

Speaking of treats, Pierce gave us a real treat on Friday night.  He was in town working on the documentary he is working on for Gateraide and got to spend about 20 hours with us.  We loved every second.  We met Ricky for dinner at Dickey's Barbeque and then headed to the Ranger Game.  Dick got us great seats under Homerun Porch.  It was exciting as Ricky and Pierce, together caught a fly ball.  Oh my, I was so proud of them when they gave it to the darling little girl sitting beside them. She was THRILLED and they were too.  We got home late and woke up early on Saturday and Pierce helped Dick replace a broken fence post then they met Ricky again and went to Hurrican Harbor,  a water park, for a wonderful few hours in the surf pool and water slides.  Dick dropped Pierce off at the airport at 2:30 and he headed back to LA!  Thanks for sharing him with us Stacy and Adelaide.  We loved getting to see him.

Sky and Kara played like tourists on Saturday afternoon and took a sailing tour of the harbor and over to Alcatraz.  They are really enjoying their new life in San Francisco.  Today at ward council meeting, their names were on the move out list and it made me miss them all over again.  I'm happy that they are happy and I loved seeing the photos Skyler messaged me.  thanks for your kind and techie ways Skyman!  Skyler is enjoying working on the Chester Cheeto campaign.  I need to get smart enough to peek at it on facebook.

ImageDick has had a busy week at work and never seems to be lacking for having more and more to do.  He loved taking a break to spend time with his boys.  Maybe one of my favorite moments of the weekend, was Pierce giving our famiy prayer before he left and telling our Heavenly Father how much he loved spending time with Dick and Ricky and how he wished Charlie, Sky and Jake had been here too to go with them.  Families are the best, even spread around the country.  I love to hear my kids pray for one another.
One of my favorite parts of the week was working on my Grammy's sleepover room.  With the Elders gone, and Tatia's family gone and Sky's family gone, I had a room to fix as a sleep over room.  I loved sewing dust ruffles for the beds and I think it turned out fun.  Now to grab a couple of little ladies for a sleep over.  Hint Hint..... Brooklyn,  Addie Mae, are you available any time soon?
I hope your week has been filled with memory making experiences.  Sure Love you,  Robynn

Ricky has been home alone for the past 3 weeks while Becky and the girls have been visiting Nana and Papa in California.  With Becky and the girls there, and with Dick there last Saturday, we had 67% of the Thiot family in California.  That is a Lot.  Becky and the girls have had such a fun time there.  Nana and Papa (Becky's sweet parents) know a lot o fun things to do.  The girls have loved going swimming every day and this weekend they've been camping in the mountains.  They thought sleeping in a tent was quite wonderful.  I got to face time with them on the phone on Wednesday and I loved seeing those three darling little girls.  Miss Harper is a walking, dancing girl.  She was just starting when she left.  I can hardly wait until next Saturday to see them in person.  Enjoy your last week away!  Grammy misses you!

It was sure good to see where Tatia, Jake, Penny and Baby Maxwell live.  I loved being in their home and getting to help them settle in.  What a beautiful part of this world Charlottesville, Virginia is.  I've never seen so many trees.  Everything is green and beautiful and I LOVED the fireflies that come out as soon as the sun sets.  Almost magical those little fireflies are.  I loved being there with them and am happy to report that they are doing well.  Penny loves going for hikes with her daddy and Tatia has loved her new two seater jogging stroller and going exploring with it.  Maxwell is 3 months old and is growing and doing well.  One of the joys of my life is getting to face time with them almost every day.  Sometimes Penny and I even watch Sophia the first, our favorite Disney channel show together.  Jake is loving his residency at the University of Virginia.  It's been a great fit for him and he is learning and growing a lot.  I miss them being here close by, but I'm so glad they are happy in Virginia.

If I live to be 100 years old, one of my favorite weeks of my life will have to be getting to tend Keelie and Callum for a week and getting to be their Grammy in person and not across the miles.  We called it Grammy camp and Keelie helped think of fun things to do together every day.  I will forever treasure those days we spent together.  It's not easy having kids living all over the place.  I am so thankful/grateful for Charlie and Mackenzie for helping their kids to know me and love me from across the country.  It didn't take but a few minutes to feel completely at home and happy together.  Thank you Char and Kenzie for letting me be there with your little ones when you couldn't be.  I love you dearly.
This weekend Charlie was able to hike Mt. Whitney with his Young men from church.  What a great and dedicated Scouter Charlie is.  He is exhausted but had a good time.

Our Los Angeles Thiots
ImageWhile I was in Sacramento watching Keelie and Callum, our sweet Stacy went to the doctor and they decided it was time for our newest little granddaughter to come.  It wasn't the way they had planned and practiced having taking natural child birth classes but it was the best way for little Adelaide to make her way into this world.  On Tuesday morning, the 18th of June, our sweet little Adelaide Elizabeth was born.  She weighed 3lbs and 8 ounces but besides being tiny was perfect.  She spent the next 22 days in the Ronald Regan Hospital in the NICU 2 until being cared for by a wonderful team of doctors and nurses.  The Saturday after she was born, Dick was able to reschedule our 50 minute layover in LA for a twelve hour layover.  Those were 12 of my favorite hours of my life getting to take turns being with Adelaide and Pierce and Stacy and Stacy's amazing mom at the hospital.  I loved singing to our little Lady ever Primary song I could think of.  She mostly slept but every now and then she would look into my eyes with her beautiful eyes.  I loved being there with her.  I'm so glad to report that on Wednesday of this week, she was released from the hospital and sent home!

Skyler and Kara just finished up their first week as our San Fran Thiots.  What an adventure they are having.  Skyler started his internship on Monday and Kara interviewed for a job on Monday and after a 3 hour interview she was hired to manage a beautiful estate for a great family.  She is in charge of the nanny's, the housekeepers, and cook.  She is quite enjoying it and is loving getting acquainted with their two cute children too.  Skyler is trying to locate a bike to help make his commute a bit quicker.  He walks to the train station (25 minutes) then rides the commuter train into San Fran and has a 30 minute hike to the office.  He is thinking a bike could cut down the commute a bit.  I'm crossing me fingers that he can find one.  It was hard to say goodbye to Sky and Kara.  There time here this summer went by too fast.  I'm glad they are happy in that magical town of San Francisco.

Our house went from bulging at the seams this summer to being almost empty again.  Even Rocky the Grandpup is missing Branson the Grandcat who left.  I was surprised how well they got along.  It's been good to catch up and get things put back in order, but it makes it seem so quiet upstairs.  I think I miss Penny's voice in the morning the most when she would say each day as she came down the stairs,  "Where are you Grammy?"  I loved having her here and getting to enjoy her every day.  I miss getting to snuggle up with Maxwell any time of the day I wanted to.  I miss having Tatia to do silly projects with me.  I'm sooooooooooo grateful for telephones to keep in touch.
Dick, Ricky and I had a fun adventure on Friday night.  To Celebrate Chick fill-A birthday, we loved, ok I may be the only one that loved dressing up and having a FREE dinner.  Dick and Ricky humored me and were good sports.  It's been fun to see Ricky while his girls are away.  You can tell he must be lonesome when he wants to hang out with us.  He and Dick went to Top Golf and had fun playing after dinner on Friday.  Sky and Dick had a fun time there prior to Sky's move too.
What a summer this has been.  It's been wonderful to get to see all my kids and my grandchildren too.  It's so nice to see what good parents they are and how hard they are trying to do their best in all they do.  I'm sure glad to be their mom.  I hope you have had a good week.  SLY Robynn

Happy Birthday Mom.
