Dick and I LOVED the Primary Sacrament Meeting Program in Mansfield last Sunday, and dinner with Nana Diane was wonderful too. Ricky started the week with a trip for a sales meeting in Seattle, Washington. I asked him how he enjoyed Seattle and he said the conference room was nice. Becky told me they had some mighty fun team building activities that Ricky Loved. Adult sized bounce houses and trikes. Sounds right up Ricky's alley. The girls had a Spooktacular time at the Early Halloween Party on Monday night with Nana Diane. They all loved dressing up and bobbing for apples, having a cake walk, a spookie movie and lots of sweet treats. Brooklyn, you sure know how to throw a halloween party. On Friday Ricky had Jurry duty but was eliminated when they asked if he knew how he felt after drinking 2 or 3 beers. He had to tell them he had never tasted the stuff, so he didn't have a clue. They sent him on his way home with his $7.00 for his time. On Saturday after two great soccer games, they headed to Arlington to Six Flags. They are loving their end of the season passes this year. Go Mansfield Thiots!

When Tatia and Jake named their new baby Oscar, Skyler though it would be cool to nick name his Scar, like the character in the Lion King. Well this week when Tatia did his six month photo shoot, Skyler captured one of his photos and took some disney liberty to attach his name sake to him. Oh my goodness Skyler, you are too funny! Penny's Aunt Lani is in Paris this week and so when she was at Target this week, Penny spotted the Eifel Tower and needed her pic by it just like Lani had sent us. Love it. When I walked out of the temple on friday afternoon, there was a shiny penny on the ground. I couldn't resist taking a picture and sending it to Penny. She is just as shiny as this Penny was.
Like Ricky, Charlie had an out of town training trip this week. Charlie went to San Diego and stayed in a hotel just a few blocks away from the gorgeous San Diego Temple. Charlie was disappointed to find out they were closed for cleaning for a few weeks. Next time he has to go, I hope it will be open and he can go inside. It's sure gorgeous. Charlie's family woke up early and headed to Lassen Volcanic National Park on Saturday for National Park Day. It was free entrance all day. They hiked the 5.3 miles to the top of Lassen Peak. It was not an easy hike to 2,064 vertical feet from 8,245 to the top at 10,309 ft. Can you tell they were all a little tired out. It made for some nice napping on the drive home. Charlie stayed awake. It took 3 hours and six minutes and 31 seconds to get all the way to the top. WOW! This Friday Charlie will celebrate his 33 birthday. I hope it's a great one!

Tonight is the Santa Monica Stakes Standards Night. Pierce has been invited to speak and what a lucky audience he has. Pierce has a gift for speaking and being able to explain the importance of following the Prophets guidelines for us. I wish I could be there to listen to him. Good Luck Pierce! You are in my prayers. Stacy sent me the sweetest video of Miss Adelaide this week. She was talking to her dolly that my mom gave her when she turned one and it was so tender and sweet. I love you dear little voice Lady. Thank you Stacy for sharing that with me. I wish I was smart enough to put it on the blog. So cute!
When I was at the Women's Conference on Saturday night, before it started, Sister Colton in our stake came up to me and said how much she loves serving in the temple with my sweet daughter in law Kara. She went on and on about how she has been so helpful to her and is such a sweet temple worker. That made me smile.
Skyler had this nifty hat on when I picked him up for lunch on Friday. It said Make America Great Again. He said it's a campaign theme for Mr. Trump who he doesn't like much, but he likes the hat. You are too funny Skyler Thiot. I love having Lunch with Sky on Fridays. Best meal of the week.

Last night I attended the General Women's Conference at our Stake Center. I was pretending that sitting on my row were Tatia, Becky, Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Stacy, and Kara. Instead it was me and some lovely sisters in my stake. It was indeed a feast to listen to the fabulous choir, to hear the wonderful sisters speak and to watch the tender videos. President Uchtdorf for the final speaker and he taught us the parable of "A Summer with Great Aunt Rose". I loved the painting that aunt Rose had hanging in her home to help remind her that even when life is difficult, when it doesn't turn out the way we thought it might, that we can still be grateful and find joy every day. I loved this little pioneer girl skipping down the pioneer trail. There are two weekends a year that are my very most favorite. You guest it, General Conference in April and again in October. I can hardly wait until next weekend and this Women's session was such a great sneak peek of what is to come.
Dick's Ham Radio Operator class that he is helping to instruct started yesterday. They had 14 people attend which is really good. Saturday afternoon he spent working hoping to be ready to leave for Salt Lake early Monday morning. Saturday night was his High School 40 year reunion. He has been looking forward to going and had a great time catching up with old friends. He was only going to go for 30 minutes and head back to work, but I was glad he changed his mind and stayed for the duration. With only 53 in your graduating class, you became good friends with everyone. They had about 1/2 of them there last night and Dick said every had a little bit different hair styles. Dick is on the middle row third from the center. About exactly in the center of the photo. At least I think that is him. he he he. Have a good week everybody. Sure love you, Robynn
