Our Mansfield Thiots
When the Thiot Bakery opened it's doors on Saturday morning, the very best smells came pouroing out as the sweet Birthday girl invited her friends and sisters to join in the fun. The each made their own personal pan pizza, with Becky's famous homemade pizza sauce and the best homemade pizza crust. The girls got to decorate cupcakes and put together a cookie mix to take home to bake. Becky and Ricky are wonderful party hosts. I'd like to give them a Grammy Award! Becky planned a very fun morning and we all had a wonderful time! Thanks for inviting us Brookie Cookie! Perhaps my favorite time was when Brooklyn opened her gifts from her sisters. They had both made her cards and Addisons made tears in my eyes. She wrote how much she loved being Brooklyn's sister and told her she was the best sister in the World! I'd like to give Addison a Grammy award for her kind and loving ways.

It was a SUPER week in Charlottesville this week. The kids had a day out of school for a teacher work day and they all put on their super hero costumes and had a blast enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. Tatia had a super fun sewing evening. She invited 9 friends over to learn to sew baby bibs. She said she has had a dream of doing this and this was the week to make that dream come true. They had so much fun and Tatia said her kids were wonderful at helping her get every thing ready for the fun night. Miss Penny was wishing it wasn't a school night so she could have stayed up and come too. I'd like to award you a Grammy Award Tatia! A few weeks ago Penny was invited to speak in Primary about how the Plan of Happiness blesses her life. She spoke about my mom and how much she loved Gigi and how she knows that she will get to be with her again someday. She brought the baby doll that Gigi gave her on her first birthday and it was so sweet. I'm going to share her story on Family Search. I loved it! I'd like to give you a Grammy Award Miss Penny!
Our Carmichael Thiots
At nearly the same time that Brooklyn's Bakery was up and running, Callum was celebrating his birthday at the Roller Skating Rink. He invited some friends to come and Skate and had a great morning with them. I loved this picture of him blowing out the candles on the cake! Seven makes a bright line of candles to blow. Blow Callum Blow! I'm happy to report that Callum's Science Fair project came together great and Keelie's invention Convention project was a HIT!!! I can't wait to share pictures with your next week. A Grammy Award for both of you! What a great week in Carmichael it's been! Charlie, a Grammy goes to you for planning and hosting such a fun first birthday party for Callum!
Our L.A. Thiots
Pierce has been in Provo this week recruiting BYU Students for jobs in Advertizing. He has a wonderful week and part of the fun was a day skiing at Sundance. That put a smile on his face. But the biggest smile came when he was on his way to the airport and he pulled into Grandpa's driveway for a quick visit with Grandpa Great! I don't think Pierce could have done anything to make my dad smile like this. Dad has not felt good for a month or more and this visit was some really good medicine. Thank you Pierce and Thank you all for your prayers for my dad. Pierce, you have earned a Grammy Award this week!
Our Down Town Thiots
Miss Elie came on Tuesday morning and spent the day with Grammy. We had such fun together and she loved pushing my doll stroller around with the big bear in it. She is not walking solo for more than a few steps, but she can push something like a professional walker. Oh how I love our Tuesdays together Elie. She loved taking a tubby in my bath tub and playing with the tea pot and tea cups just like all my little grandchildren love to do. I have the best smelling baby soap that makes you want to gobble her up when she gets out of the tub. We even put a tiny pony tail in her hair for the first time. She is awesome! Miss Elie, I'm awarding you a GRammy Award this week!
We Plano Thiots
While Rocky and I were out for a walk on Tuesday morning, we heard a very loud noise and we couldn't resist walking over to the sound. Sure enough when we arrived, we watched a HUGE machine taking down the Car Wash and Snow cone Shack which had been there for many years. WOW! The scoop scooped up all the mess and put it into the beds of dump trucks who were lined up waiting for it. Rocky and I stood there in the cold watching and just marveled out how quickly something can be knocked down and taken away.
This has been a crazy week at out house. Dick has had several projects taking his every minute of his days and late into the nights. He's been a good problem solver, but some have stumped even him. He's been in my prayers to be able to figure them out.
Friday morning may have been my favorite of the week. When my temple schedule arrived, I was assigned to be a patron to do temple Sealings. I've been trying to organize a family temple trip to do some sealings but it hadn't worked out quite yet. I've had many couples and sons and daughters who needed their work done. I checked with busy Dick and he agreed to come meet me in the sealing room at 7:00 am. What a sweet experience that hour was to spend together. A brother from our ward, Jeff Willardson is a temple sealer and he was their substituting for Brother Jones who we also love. It made for such a wonderful, sacred time to be together. I loved looking across the alter into my sweet hearts eyes who I love and being able to be proxy for dearly departed souls. Thank you Dick for coming and you too are recieving a Grammy Award!
I have two final Grammy Awards. These two Cub Scouts are two of my favorites. THey had their Pinewood Derby Race Saturday morning and look what sweet cars they built with the help of their awesome parents. I'm so proud of both of them! A few years ago, we had a Pinewood Derby race in our Family room when their Gramps was in town and we wanted him to see how fun these races are. One of my favorite memories for sure! Way to go Oliver and Miles!
I'm grateful this week for my family. We have friends who are having some very difficult times and we've tried to be helpful, but it has been so very very difficult to watch others suffer and not be able to fix things. I'm such a fixer at heart and some problems simply are not in the realm of my help. My heart is heavy and sore for their difficulties. May heaven shower some much needed relief on them this week. Sure love you all, Robynn
