 Our Mansfield Thiots

I loved these family photos that Ricky and Becky's family had taken on their last trip to Florida.  They had another family of friends go with them and Robyn is a great photographer and took their family photos.  They made me smile and I wanted to share with you too.  Such a beautiful family!  This coming weekend Addison has her tryouts for the play "The Best Christmas Pagent Ever"  I can't wait to hear what roll she will play.

Our Medford Granges

It's turning fall in Medford and Jake invited the three big boys on a camping trip this weekend.  Penny and the twins stayed home with Tatia and they, like the boys had a great time.  They stayed in a Yurt.  It's a mix between a cabin and a tent.  It looks so fun with a front porch included.  Tatia, Penny and the babies played with the marble tower.  Tatia said that Penny would build the tower,  Gracie would play with the tower and Simon would destroy the tower.  They each had an assignment and they all had a very fun time together.  I love the photos of the Grange boys climbing a tree.  What a fun place for these boys to get to climb and hike and throw rocks into the river.  Thanks for taking them Jake!

Our Folsom Thiots

It isn't really Fall in Folsom until a trip to the Pumpkin patch is taken.  What fun to find and pick the perfect pumpkin.  Keelie found a 64 pound beauty.  The rule is that the one you choose, you have to be able to carry all by your self.  Keelie was amazing and did just that.  She found a beauty.  I love these pictures in the pumpkin patch.  I love seeing this soccer player funning like crazy!

Our Orem Thiots

I want to introduce you to the newest family member of the Orem Thiot's family.  A darling little curlie headed poodle who they named Teddy.  Adelaide loves taking naps with Teddy and Jackson is turning into a wonderful dog walker with Teddy.  What cute little buddies they make.  Pierce always wished for a dog while he was growing up and I'm so happy his wish has finally come true.  Congratulations on your new family member.  Teddy is darling!

I love Elie's school picture.  What a darling Pre-K 4 year old she is.  I was so happy when Kara sent it to me today.  Elie loved eating her candy pumpkin and loved turning the candy corn into vampire bat teeth.  Sky and Elie had a great time at a trampoline park and Elie loved playing with the Styrofoam blocks in the pit.  What fun Wednesday afternoons are for both Skyler and Elie.  This weekend Jimmer Burdett was put into the hall of fame at BYU for Basketball players.  He was interviewed on the BYU sports news at noon and I loved hearing all about Jimmer.  I told Sky I had taped it for him to watch.  I think I was more impressed than Sky.  I love Jimmer!

We loved having Elder Frandsen who was one of the many missionaries who lived in our home with us 12 years ago.  We loved when he called and said he wanted to bring his family for us to  meet.  His parents came too and we loved getting to catch up and meet his two darling daughters and his baby boy.  What nice people they are.  They came on Friday and we also had our three ward missionaries join us too.  We had 13 for dinner and we loved getting to have our big table topper on and we all sat at the "fun" table.  On Saturday they went to the temple and Dick and I went to watch the children while they got to go inside.  I'm so glad the temple has reopened and temple work is happening again.  I loved getting to serve on Friday.  I hope you have had a good week.  Know you are loved. Thursday was my dads birthday.  He would have turned 93 years old.  Ricky and Becky's family have a fun tradition of making Grandpa's famous strawberry milk shakes.  At a Family Reunion a few years ago, Grandpa's talent for the Talent show was to make everyone a Strawberry Milk Shake.  Oh he had the recipe down perfectly and we all loved them.  I love that Ricky's family loves to make them on Grandpa Gr-8's birthday each year.  They also gave me a air fryer for Christmas last  year.  I hadn't ever dared use it until Addison gave me a demo on theirs.  It has been used several times this week already.  Thank you Mansfield Thiots!

Our Medford Granges
It's turning into Autumn Time in Medford.  Cooler temperatures are most welcome and perhaps one of the funnest part of the week was a trip to the dump.  Jake and the three big boys had a load of items to take there.  The boys LOVED it and Jake said it may become their new favorite duty.  They will always be happy to volunteer.  I used to love to go to the dump with my dad when I was growing up.  Dad would always let us choose something we found to bring home.  I think that may be why I am always on the look out for treasure that someone is tossing.  The twins have had a great week too.  Gracie is working on her chalk board art skills and Simon is working on climbing skills.  He's a little scary. They loved having a special day on Grandpa Greats birthday and invited the missionaries for milk shakes and loved sharing stories about Grandpa and the lessons he has taught.  I LOVED that!

Our Folsom Thiots
I'm sad to report that Covid has caught up with a few of our Folsom Thiot's.  They are in our prayers for a swift recovery.  I'm glad Red can help to comfort Liam and help him feel better.  Keelie thought making some cupcakes for everyone would help to cheer up those feeling crummy.  Thanks Keelie! Those who were healthy were able to have a little lake time on Saturday with the wind surf boards.  For some reason, the photo won't let me show  you but it did look like fun!

I loved these pictures of Pierce and Jackson out for a boys motorcycle ride this week.  What a fun father and son activity.  I also loved that Stacy and Adelaide were able to go have their nails done together.  Mother Daughter Dates are so fun too.  I loved this spooky haunted house they put together this week.  Well done.   Pierce's presentation was shown this week prior to APPLE announcing their new iPhone 13 and new mini iPad and all the new stuff.  I will tell you it was sooooooooooo fun to see all the beautiful places in California that Pierce and his team filmed and put together.  WELL DONE!!!!  Your mama was clapping her hands!

Skyler told me a few weeks ago that he would really like to take Elie to the lake for a swim before summer was over.  Elie has some friends, Ella and Evie who have a boat.  They  live close by Lake Lavon and I invited ourselves to go with them on Saturday.  They were kind enough to let us join them and oh what a beautiful day it was.  At first Elie wasn't sure about getting in the water but she was smitten right off the bat and loved it.  She would have stayed on the boat and then on the tube all day long if we could have stayed that long.  It was such fun.  We loved it.

This photo of my Grandma Birks and her sisters and her brother appeared on Family Search this week.  It was taken at her sister's funeral in Nessa Oregon.  I loved seeing all those sweet women and ONE brother George together.  I love old pictures.  My grandma is right in the  middle, second row with glasses in a dark colored blouse.

We have a team of lawn mower guys that come and mow our yard every Friday after noon.  They usually come around five and I love to have a treat to say thank you to them.  I made some Blondies and put them into the oven about 3:30 and low and behold, I heard the mowers starting  up.  Oh my goodness we had to make a new plan as they mower guys can do our front and back and side yard in 14 minutes and brownies take 28 minutes to cook.  They had to settle for a cup of ice water and a bag of spicy chips as Elie calls them.  That will teach them to come early.  Now the ones that benefitted was later that night after we had  finished a lovely clean out the fridge dinner, three knocks were heard at the door and there stood three of the nicest elders in Plano Texas.  They stopped by and were treated to blondies and ice cream and a rousing game of ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER? We thought of Penny and Callum as we played, our favorite 5th Graders.  What fun.
Tatia helped me make stickers to go on notebooks for my Primary kids Conference Notebooks.  I love how they turned out and I'm sure our primary kids are going to love them.  I hope you've had a good week and that you know how much you are loved.  SLY Robynn
