Our Mansfield Thiots
Last Sunday we journeyed to Bethlehem, aka Waxahatchi for a very special evening. We have gone since we first learned about it 14 years ago as often as we could. This year our beautiful Harper loved getting dressed in a beatiful pink head covering. How I love that girl.
Brooklyn and Addison were there too and loved exploring all the shops and we all remembered how much we love the Star. The camels were there, the sheep, the donkey and the whole Christmas story seemed to come to life on that chilly night.
Jami and Jeremiah came with us too. Oh how we love these two. They spoke in church earlier that day and they were kind enough to give us there talks as we drove them back to Dallas after our fun evening. Hot chocolate and cookies were a fun finish to our night. We met another family who had just moved to Texas and we loved sharing with them too.
On December 18, just seventeen years ago, our Ricky and Becky were sealed for time and eternity in this beautiful Salt Lake Temple. Oh it was a cold cold day but so warm inside the Holy Temple. I loved remembering all about it yesterday. Happy Anniversary you two!
Our Medford Granges
I love Penny's Christmas tree hair due for school this week. What amazing hair you have and a fun mom to make it look so cute. The star is my fave!
Simon came downstairs while Tatia was dressing Gracie and when she got downstairs, Simon had found a plate at the counter and was ready for breakfast. What a fun boy. I can't believe our babies will be TWO Tomorrow!
Your eyes are NOT playing tricks on you. Skyler is in Medford this week for Christmas Break with Tatia's fun family. They invited him and he couldn't resist. They all adore him as he does them.
Skyler and his team, built a tower of duplo building blocks that went from the top of the coffee table all the way to the ceiling. Oh my goodness they were thrilled! Keep having a great time Uncle Sky!
Our Folsom Thiots
Charlie and Tatia called me one morning this week and it totally made my day. Charlie knew how to help us all three face time together. Oh how I loved getting to visit with them at the same time. Thank you both! Our Orem Thiots
Jackson has learned to call me on his amazing wrist watch phone. I simply love it when I hear his voice saying, "Grammy!" It makes my day. I loved getting to see the Home Alone House they are building together. Even both those naughty funny guys are included. I loved seeing it. Our sweet Stacy was sick this week and Pierce was out of town. She's sure glad to have him back home. I'm glad she has such nice kids to help.
I love Pierce's snow village and hos fun they have it on display. The train, may be my favorite. Pierce was always in charge of putting the train under our Christmas tree each year. He is a train lover at heart and enjoys many in his home year round.
Our Upstairs Thiots
This was Elie's first Christmas sitting on Santa's lap. She didn't even seem to mind.
By Christmas #2, she was NOT a Santa fan. Bless her little heart.
But by Christmas #3, she had figured out he was a very good thing, and she was delighted to sit up on his lap.
Christmas #4 was a Covid Christmas and she had to see him behind a plastic screen. Such a cute girl.
This year she was able to sit on Santa's lap again. Oh she is such a sweetheart. Merry Christmas Elinor! We will see you on the 28th.
We Plano Thiots
Dick started out his week with a few hours in the dentist chair having an implant installed. Nothing like having a post drilled into your jaw. YIKES! I've been so proud of how tough Dick is. He's quite remarkable. It has not slowed him down for a minute this week.
The amazing Fabio was baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday afternoon. Dick got to baptize him and it was so great to be there. I got to help teach one of the lessons with the sisters. He is from Brazil and is wonderful. We love him already.
I love this photo Cousin Kim sent of my Aunt Marie with her two great great neice and nephew. Aunt Marie is beloved in our family.
Uncle Boyd took a two week vacation to spend time with his Idaho family. Aunt Marie loved having him there and they sure enjoyed their time together. Uncle Boyd has magic with children. I think he may have been a nursery leader in heaven as children all remember him and love him.
I loved our trip to Bethlehem last weekend. Such fun to get to wear a beatutiful headdress too. I loved this sweet sister in the dress makers shop that helped to dress us.
My fridge may be my favorite Christmas decoration this year. I love all these children hanging there in their matching PJ's. They make me smile every time I walk past or open the doors,
On Thursday, my friend Judy Hall and her daughter Jena arrived for a sleep over. Judy's youngest brother's son is getting married today and she came a day early to visit. I LOVED it. They came to the temple Friday morning while I was serving there and that made it extra special to get to help them with family names in Initiatory. Judy did a ancestor named Eleanor. I thought of my sweet Elie. It was a very choice time being with them. They are coming to go to our ward Sacrament Meeting this morning. Horray!
Our Temple grounds has the nativity statues I always love to walk over to them and say hello. I always wish I'd brought a cozy blanket to cover them up on cold days. It's hard to believe Christmas is less than a week away. We've had something wonderful at our house. Somebody has been doing the 12 days of Christmas for us. It's been so fun to look forward to what is coming next. We've loved it! We hope you will enjoy your Merry Week of Christmas. We love you so much! SLY Robynn
