A new puppy!

My little brother got a new puppy named Malan. She is a Viszla and she is so sweet and so extremely hyper. She is crazy! But oh so much fun! We got to Puppysitting for a couple of days while Kelsey was out of town and Greg had to work. It was so fun but so exhausting. I forgot how much work a puppy can be. The boys loved her when she was calm and were terrified of her when she wasn't. She's a biter! Kind of made me want a puppy again though. Oh ya, and old man Hatch couldn't stand her.

Christmas crafting

I will be the first to tell you that I am not a very hands on, play with the kids all day, do crafts and puzzles kind of mom. It's something I actually don't like much about myself. I wish I were a little bit more fun. I'm working on it. But on this day I was a fun mom. Paper crafting Christmas countdowns and Santa heads with my boys. I sure do love these two!

Potty training.

He decided it was time....

And so it begins...

Look at that cute underwear clad bum! He a actually did really well. Especially once he realized treats were involved. Update: he is potty trained!!! Yay! It took him a little longer than it took Pratt but he still did awesome. No accidents for a couple of weeks now!

Christmas in November

This year we put up the Christmas tree SUPER early. Way before even thanksgiving. The boys begged and begged and so I finally gave in. It wasn't much of a sacrifice though. I love it as much as they do. I remember doing this very same thing when I was a kid. There is something really magical about Christmas tree lights.

Pumpkins and parties.

The other night we went to a party in Ty's parents ward for Halloween.  The kids had so much fun and got all hopped up on sugar so the evening was a success.

Afterwards we went to grandma's and made spooky eyes and carved pumpkins.  Pratt was all about getting in there and getting his hands dirty and helping but trek wanted nothing more to do with it other than picking out a design for his pumpkin's face. He kept saying it was gross. Thanks for the fun night grandma and grandpa!

A weekend away!

It's been a very long time since I've gone overnight somewhere by myself without any kids and especially without a husband. My cousin Tasen is leaving on a mission to Oklahoma next week and was having his farewell up in Idaho. I didn't want to miss it so I hitched a ride with my aunt and cousin and headed for Rigby.  I'm so thankful that Ty let me go. It was such a fun little overnighter with my family!  My cousin Kelti lives in the most beautiful place! We took a walk and the boys did some shooting.
Image
After our walk we went to dinner at the local pizza place and then went and did the haunted zip line. Can you tell how much fun we were having by our terrified faces? The zip line was actually a series of 3 zip lines. The first one was over 1300 ft tall. It was so fun!!! Besides the thrill of the zip line we also had the thrill of being scared by people jumping out at us.

Look at those cute boys being boys. I'm so lucky to come from such a great family. Some are a little rough around the edges but they all have the best hearts!

Tasen is going to be such an awesome missionary! I can't wait to hear all of his stories.
