Rodeo Day at MDO!

Cade had rodeo day at mom's day out today. The trail riders stopped by for a visit on their way to Reliant Stadium. All the classes came out to greet the trail riders and sang them a few songs. At first Cade was more excited about the bus parked in the YMCA parking lot, but that wore off and he had fun watching all the horses.

Reid's first bath

Reid had his first bath today. He wasn't a big fan. It won't be long before he likes them, though!

Going home

We were so excited to take Reid home. I couldn't believe how little he looked in his car seat. When we got to the car we had to take the seat out and find another hook for the straps because he was so small. Reid did ok on the ride home, he just slept! Once home we had to take a few pictures in his little outfit. He looks so peaceful!

Reid's birthday!

Reid Matthew Powell was born February 22nd at 11:58am. He weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. My labor was VERY fast. I checked in the hospital to get induced at 8am. The doctor broke my water at 10:30 and things moved very quickly after that. I got an epidural, but it didn't really go into effect until after Reid made his arrival! Other than that small detail, everything went very smoothly. Matt and I are thrilled that he is here and so thankful that he is healthy. Big brother Cade is excited, too. He seems to be very protective of his little brother and LOVES to give him kisses! I think he looks a lot like Cade did when he was born, but I know over the next few weeks he will change so much.
