A budding friendship
This morning I took Cade for a play date at the Sanders house. Cade and Keegan are only a few days apart and Reid and Jack are only 7 weeks apart. Cade and Keegan had a great time playing together.
They are doing the exact same thing!! The boys made me laugh when they would copy each other.
Quick picture opportunity....these boys are on the move!
We went to McDonald's for lunch. The boys had a great time playing on the slide.
Of course, Cade was a bit preoccupied looking for buses. He was looking out the window saying, "Busey, where are you?"
Michelle and I were pleasantly surprised at how well the morning went. I hope all goes this smoothly the next time we get together to play!
just hanging
These are a few pictures from last week that I just got off my camera. Cade loved having Tessa and Taleigh around to play with. After they left he got to play with Tiffany. They are all gone now, but Cade still loves talking about them. The other day I was listening to him talk away in the back seat and he was going through all of the family members and laughing!
Yep, that silly guy right there is my pa!

Easter weekend
Here are a few pictures from Easter weekend:
Pa heated up the spa Saturday. Cade was a little scared at first, but quickly remembered that he loves getting in the water.

Those boys are going to be a handful of trouble pretty soon.
After the spa Cade and I dyed Easter eggs. He liked coloring on the eggs, but quickly lost interest when he realized he couldn't see what he colored right away.

These are from Easter morning. What a handsome stud!
We had eggs around the living room for Cade to hunt. When he found an egg he had to shake it and if it made noise he had to open it to eat what was inside. (I had teddy grahams (aka - bears) inside some of the eggs. Needless to say, this was no quick hunt!
Our first attempt at a family picture.
Looks like Cade is directing an orchestra!
Cade was a bit more interested in the airplanes than smiling for a picture.

1 month
Where did the weeks go??? Reid is 1 month old today! He has been a pretty good baby so far, we are truly blessed. I have learned that Reid really likes to just be held. I think if I held him all day long he would never cry (unless it's feeding time, which he would never let me miss!) Reid sleeps quite a bit, which has taken some getting used to. Cade didn't sleep much as a newborn baby. There have been times that the thought of, "Should I wake him up so he will sleep tonight?" crosses my mind and then I realize that he is just a month old and he likes his sleep! Speaking of nights, he is doing really well. He wakes up about every 4 hours to eat and then usually goes right back to sleep. Matt and I are adjusting to our family of 4 and tyring to enjoy every minute!
(watch each month for Reid's picture with his monkey, George)
Rodeo time!
We went to the rodeo with my family this past Thursday. Well, we just went to the carnival and walked around, we didn't actually go in to the rodeo. I thought Cade would be thrilled about riding the bus out there, but he actually got scared and didn't want to ride! Once we got him on the bus and gave him some snacks he decided it was ok.

What a big boy!
The only other ride Cade went on was the "flying" bees.....however, their bee didn't fly because daddy was a bit too big for the ride!!!
All in all, we all had a great time!

Cade really enjoyed the petting zoo. He had no fear of any of the animals (though his dad was a little skittish of some big hairy animal that came up behind him!!---don't really know what it was!)
now that's a pig!

go swifty go!
Reid enjoyed the rodeo, too!
Matt and Cade actually went down the slide! I really thought Cade was going to throw a fit when he got to the top (it was a pretty big slide) and he didn't! He was happy that Madison was there with him. About half way down Cade was screaming, but was so proud of himself for going down.
What a big boy!

Happy St. Patty's Day!
This is how our day started.....

then, after almost 3 hours of trying to get Cade to sleep and failing. I finally gave him his bath and put his St. Patty's day shirt on. This is the first time that Cade hasn't had a nap. I don't think I like the no nap thing too much. Cade actually seems more hyper. Let's all pray he takes his nap tomorrow!
Reid did very good with his naps today!

say cheese!
If you ask Cade to say cheese, this is the face you will get. It cracks me up! I know it's a silly face, but I am just glad he stayed still long enough to take a picture.
Reid was a little cowboy today. The picture isn't all that great, he of course looked much cuter in person. I just wanted to make a note on the boots.....so why do you think they put the non-skid bottoms on there? They are 0-3 months....do you really think they need it? It just makes all the pictures look funky because there are 2 big white circles on the bottom of the feet! I've never seen the boots in a bigger size either. Just something for you to think about!

Lazy Saturday
We went to my parents house this morning, it was nice to get out of the house for awhile. My mom wanted to take an Easter picture of all the grand kids together. I was pleasantly surprised that the picture didn't have any screaming children in it, especially mine! Here are a few pictures from the day.
Madison (8 years), Zach (7 months), Reid (2 weeks) and Cade (20 months)
just a lazy day with my boys! watch out ladies.....
