Little Builders

Reid loves his tools. I took him out the other day for a drive in his truck and he made sure he brought his tool box along.

Stopping to see what he could fix.

Later we put his toolbench together. Reid was very excited about using the tools to help. He really wanted to use his hammer, and was bummed that the hammer was not needed.

Cade decided that he needed to be a worker, too.

It took a really long time to finish so the boys resorted to nailing nails in boards. I have to admit, it was way more fun than reading directions and tightening bolts.

Christmas Day 2010

After all the gifts were open at home, we headed over to my parents house.

Mom did an awesome job decorating her table!

After lunch it was time for presents!!

Who knew a simple package of nails could make a 2 year old so happy!

Cade got some new baseballs in his stocking.

This Handy Manny truck is pretty fun. Reid can take it all apart with "Turner" the screwdriver.

Later in the afternoon I came in and saw Reid and Zach watching TV together. They were so focused!
Image
We ended up getting in the hot tub that night since we couldn't on Christmas Eve because of rain. I couldn't get in because of the baby, so I was in charge of the smores.
Image
Cade had fun with the smores.....well, really with the marshmallows.

Christmas Morning 2010

The boys were very excited to get their gifts from Santa. Cade got a bigger basketball goal and Reid got Handy Manny tools. He had been asking for those tools for a long time!

Cade loves this new Wii game. We think it's pretty fun, too.

Christmas Eve 2010

Yes, It's the end of January and I am just now putting Christmas pictures on the blog. Better late than never, right! We didn't do anything out of the ordinary. We went to the Christmas Eve service at church and then went back to my parents for present, smores and the hot tub. We ended up not being able to get in the hot tub because of rain. I made some smores in the microwave, which by the way....totally not the same.

Family pic after the Christmas Eve service.

My handsome boys (excuse the big bruise on Reid's forehead)
Image
Reid decided he was not in the mood for pictures, but Cade was excited to have his picture taken with Mimi!
Image

Mimi and Pa with the boys. Check out all those stockings! This was before Lance's was done and next year we will have 2 more up there (Tessa's fiance, Lance and the new baby girls!)!

Image
Tiffany gave Reid his Christmas gift early. Who cares that this set is for kids ages 8 and up! My little worker LOVES it! This picture makes me laugh out loud everytime I see it! It's my new favorite!
Image
My chef and builder. Never a dull moment with those 2 around!

Image
Reid needed to measure the gift before opening....
Image

Image
It may be a good idea to pick up all new presents with some pliers. You know, just in case it was hazardous or something!?!?

Cade sporting the new elf PJ's. Reid, yet again decided he wasn't ready for a picture. Take my word for it, those 2 boys make some cute little elves!Image

Family Date Night - December 7th

Matt and I took the boys out for a family date night. We went to the Galleria and let the boys see Santa. Afterwards we ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then took the boys to the Lego store. It was such a fun night doing things we don't normally do!
