Déjà vu

ImageI was excited to find that Reagan finally fits into one of my favorite outfits that our good friend Carol gave to Rylie when she was born (it was extra helpful since we needed some pink in those drawers!!).  After admiring how cute Reagan looked (yes, totally biased, I know) and once I got through the waves of deja vu, I looked back in our photo library and found a picture of Rylie in the same outfit.

Can you tell which picture is Rylie and which is Reagan?

A bit of trivia- when I looked at the image dates, the girls are only 3 days apart in their respective shots!

(answer: Rylie (6mo, 14 days old) is on the right, Reagan (6 mo, 11 days old) is on the left)

Lees Ladies

Just Another Day at MDO

It's no secret that Rylie's favorite school subject is art! Especially when she came home with green paint in her hair, on her forehead and eyelid which is clearly the left over after what I can only assume was some serious face cleaning!  The orange tint on her cheeks would be the leftover cheetos from Rylie's little self-serve snack on the way home in Miss Kellie's fancy car :)  I do hope she was a good listener and didn't touch anything!!

Disclaimer: not sure you can actually see any of the good stuff in these shots but they are so cute and so Rylie that I quickly deemed them blog worthy. :)

A Windy Saturday in San Antonio

Here we are enjoying last Saturday in a way that even Mary P and the crew on Cherry Tree Lane would enjoy.

I hope you all have the wonderful tune of "lets go fly a kite" in mind as you enjoy these snap shots!

Luck O' The Irish

Image
Arguably one of the best parts of having a family is starting traditions.
Last year with the help of my friend and Rylie's favorite person ever, Erin (who's name means Ireland), we began the St. Patty's Day breakfast-for-dinner green meal.  This year, back by popular demand I brought out the green food coloring and began making a rare treat in this house-- breakfast!

Per Toby's gentle suggestion, we went with green pancakes as opposed to last year's green eggs (I guess green eggs aren't really that good- who knew??) and had the added bonus of getting to celebrate Reagan's half birthday!  That's right, each year this Irish lassie will get to ring in her half birthday in shades of forrest, lime and olive. How lucky can Reagan, or Ree-gan as a true Irishman would say, be?

The four leaf clover pancake that looked more like an upside down butterfly.  BTW- three leaf clover pancakes are no problem, it's that extra magical leaf that makes it tough!  Any masters out there??

We've been added to the MIA Bloggers list!

February was an incredibly busy month!  Wow.  We have a lot of great things to share and will post some pictures and stories as soon as things slow down a bit- not entirely likely but I am always an optimist :)
