Pandas and People

One last post from Sichuan--an assortment of pictures from Chengdu, the train, and the trip to Jiuzhaigou.

First of all, the pandas.

Liz was really excited to see some wildlife!

We had the chance to meet up with my old friend who lives in Chengdu now. 

Pandas are everywhere! :)

Still playing catch-up with pictures from last month's trip. 

Below are pictures from Huanglong Scenic Area. 

It's a beautiful park near Jiuzhaigou, about a two-hour bus ride away. 

Unfortunately the two-hour bus ride turned into a six-hour one because of a traffic jam on the mountain roads, 

but when this is the view at the end it doesn't even matter.

 At the park we bumped into our little friend from the train. His bunk was next to ours and we played games and chatted many of the 28 hours on the train to Chengdu. He was so surprised to see us again!
