new phones

We got new phones a couple of weeks ago, and I have been having so much fun playing with this Retro Camera app!
Here are some of my favorites...I'm sure there will be many more in the future! :)

And this one is my absolute favorite so far...I just love my little goofy girl! I think she loves to have her photo taken almost as much as I love photographing her! :)

Legos...

we love LEGO!
(or maybe I should say the kids love Lego? ;) while I love the fact that they certainly keep the kids entertained for long periods of time, I find myself constantly picking them up...they seem to be EVERYWHERE!)
when I found out the LEGO store has a free building event on the first Tuesday of the month, I couldn't resist taking the kids. this month is was a LEGO Frankenstein!

Little Graduate

Yep, our little guy graduated from Kindergarten! The kids marched in so proudly...and looked so cute in their caps and gowns. Jayden was in quite a hurry to get down that aisle and I wasn't able to get a good shot of him, but luckily my friend Amy was also taking pictures, so I swiped this one from her FB page! (thank you, Amy!)

They had a really cute program, sang some songs, had a slide show,
and here's our guy, receiving his diploma...

They recited parts of the Dr. Seuss book "Oh, The Place You'll Go!"

(and while they held note cards with their parts, they did have them memorized!)

Jayden's part:
"With banner flip-flapping, once more you'll ride high, ready for anything under the sky, ready because you're that kind of a guy"

My Garden.

I told Tom I really wanted to try having a small little garden. This is no small venture...our backyard is full of trees, and doesn't allow much sun, and we have all sorts of wild animals to add to the challenge...like raccoons and rabbits. But still, I want to give a try. So for Mother's Day this year, Tom and Jayden started this little adventure. Jayden loved every minute of it!

We're really looking forward to having some fresh veggies...I hope we're not disappointed!

Adventurers.

Today our little adventurers were invested. They were both excited to get their badges that they had earned this year. Next year, Kaylee will be an Eager Beaver, and Jayden will be a Busy Bee...they are both looking forward to it!



Kaylee was too cute, when she went up on stage to sing with the group. She looked for me in the audience, and when she found me, she blew me a kiss. Of course everyone loved it, and me...well it kinda melted my heart. <3

Hello Sunshine.

For some reason, this winter seem unusually cold and wet...so we have really been enjoying the sunshine this week! We've had fun playing outside...

Kaylee loves exploring the backyard and seeing what kind of flowers she can find...

We had to get Kaylee a new helmet--she outgrew her old one. And she was so excited to practice riding her bike. She does pretty well, and her confidence has improved quite a bit since early fall when she first started riding.

When Jayden came home from school, of course he wanted to ride too!

Our front lawn is looking awesome (thanks to our neighbor who has been wonderful helping us with it!) Jayden had so much fun "helping" daddy mow...

and of course...Kaylee wanted a turn too!

Jayden didn't have school on Friday, so I took the kids to the farmer's market for their opening day. Lots of fun, and the kids really enjoy checking out all the fruits, veggies, and flowers.

Friday afternoon we couldn't resist taking the boat out to the lake! Things didn't go so well...something happened to the steering, so that's going to have to get fixed soon! Luckily we were meeting some friends (Jason & Gina) out there, so we still were able to get out to the sand bar...just had to jump on their boat! :)

We all had a great time out there...so nice to be out on the lake again. Looking forward
to summer...when we can go more often!
