Update

Wow. Haven't updated my blog in over 2 years. That is crazy. Life is good. Danny and I are great. We are taking a temple prep class right now. We are learning alot and really loving it. Mom came and we went to Cali, just her and I and Lexi. Only 4 weeks until summer. I can't wait. Dan is learning to play the guitar. All is well.

Spring Break

Ok, so it has been awhile since I updated this. Well this last week was Spring Break. I went to Arizona and saw my dad for the first time in like 2 years. We went shopping and to dinner, and just had a nice time together. I was really glad I went. I also got to see my sisters and a brother that are there as well. Then I went on to California. I stayed with my grandparents. My first night there my Aunt Robye came over to take me out for ice cream. We haven't done that since I was in college, oh so long ago. I was able to go to Huntington Beach and Seal Beach. I even went to Newport, by default as I got a little lost. The most fun was battling the dang traffic in So Cal. 2 hours from Newport back to grandmas, all of like 45 miles. So I did lots of shopping like I always go, thanks to Victoria Secret and all the free stuff. I left on Friday morning to come home. Since Dan was in Cali, we met to have breakfast. So instead we went to Bass Pro shop and seriously had so much fun. We looked at all the boats and even played the shooting game. I totally sucked it up the first time, but the pro that was with me showed me how to do it right. Super fun. Chastity and Wendy came to Mesquite to visit this weekend. We had tons of fun. We sat and chatted forever last night. Just a glimpse of what summer is going to be like. 2 weeks and I start my next set of classes. I just have 1 paper to finish this week. Yipee! Other than that, life is good. It's busy and I love it!

The Sweet Life of Torrey

Ok, so not much has been going on lately. I was going to go to Cali, but the weather sucked it up so I stayed home. Then, I was going to go to Salt Lake and the weather sucked it up, so I stayed home. I have been doing butt loads of homework to stay ahead. I also have started going to the gym 5 days a week. I haven't lost any weight and I am getting so pissed off. However, I know my fat is getting toned, so hopefully I will start to see something soon. A lady from school enter a weight loss challenge with me. So far I SUCK at it. Oh well, I will just keep going. Soon, I may have to stop eating. Just kidding, I may have a 2 year supply on me, but I don't want to wither away. Baby Tate just had his birthday on the 25th. He is 24 now. Old Man. I was jealous cause mom made him spaghetti. I wanted some. I left his gifts at home at Christmas, and I can't eve wait to see him in the 5K shirt I bought him. Ok, so Danny came home one day. I ended up going there, because he didn't want to do anything but be at home. I got to finally meet Ben. It was so interesting, cause as much as I thought he would be like Dan, he is so not. Ben was very nice to me. I made a point to tell that to Danny. So anyway, I ended up staying the night. That hasn't happened in forever. Danny was so cuddly it was amazing. It was like being with a different man. It was so nice! Oh, I made it a point to tell him that as well. So, nothing else is new. But, I am getting a little better at blogging. This month is going to be busy as I am teaching a podcasting class on Monday. Oh, I'm really enjoying my water aerobics class with the old ladies at the rec center. The lifeguards are so damn sexy. I could drown just to get saved. Well, I gotta be productive. But welcome daylight saving, I love that you give me one more hour of light, but I hate that you steal an hour of my life! Also, here is an updated pic of my new niece. And I'm getting 2 second cousins soon. This family never stops growing. Danny will be home in like 10 days! The Meaning of Love

Ok, so this week was super busy. Since it was Valentine's Day I had alot to think about. Dang memories from last year filled my brain. But more importantly, I have this little duck that has been in my bathroom, and it needed to be returned. When I was a little girl in the 3rd grade my dad got a new job. He had to leave Texas and move to Ohio, before the rest of the family. I had gotten this little plastic duck like the size of a pinky. Anyways I gave it to my dad. He would take it with him everywhere. He would come home from work and when he emptied his pockets it was there. If it wasn't there it was in his briefcase. Later in life dad put the duck in a pill bottle. I don't really think people knew the meaning of the duck or where it came from. My brother just learned yesterday that I gave the duck to my dad. Because my dad went away for awhile I took care of the duck. To show my love to my dad I sent him the duck for Valentine's Day. Ok, so its dorky, but the duck has such meaning in my life. And I know that my dad will always have it. You should see the duck as it has faded in color. All I know is that is how love goes. No matter the size, shape or color, love lasts. I'm so grateful for that little duck and the connection that my dad and I have from it.

Jan and Feb Update

Ok, so I am already stinking at blogging. I haven't updated since Christmas. I guess just not to much is going on right now. Taft came to visit again, so we just went to dinner. Dan left to be a truck driver for Swift. I'm pretty sure that's a good thing. I have spent the last 4 weekends in St. George for one reason or another. Castina and I saw Last Chance Harvey. I so recommend it. Makes you cry tho! Marilee and I had a girls weekend last weekend and we vegged out and watched Taken, which was a bit scary, and then Paul Blart, Mall Cop. The chewing up my bubble gum song really sticks in your brain. This week on Monday was grandmas birthday and my little brother Tiege's girlfriend had a baby girl named Autumn Rayne. I bring it up because she was born on grams 79th birthday. So life is good and busy. I am working on my masters homework as we speak.

Christmas in Toledo

Ok, Here is my first blog. I just came home for winter break. I am here in Toledo with Teal and Tate and Mom and their families. We had Christmas today because Mama and Gene are going to Florida tomorrow. It's my goal to keep this updated. We had a house full and did breakfast as a whole group and dinner with just Teal and Angela. Oh and Ive been shopping like a nut and we make cookies and delivered them.
