athens-stuttgart-zurich, switzerland
after arriving back at athens late last night, we spent our night at the airport, before taking a plane to stuttgart, germany. for one, this was indeed the last time we were setting foot on germany.
from stuttgart, we took a train to zurich, arriving at zurich in the evening.

day thirty . 30 may
santorini, greece
we woke up really early this morning. in fact, we hardly slept. our day began around 5am, when we crawled out of our beds to catch one of the most beautiful sunrises i have seen.
the sun has finally risen!
spot the moon!
view worth waking up for
the classic white houses with blue tops
since it was still early, we took a spin to another town.
another sandy beach
wat better way to reward our efforts of wakng up early den to treat ourselves to a hearty breakfast!
all american style
after packing our stuff, we headed to the famous red beach, where the sand/pebbles is the colour red
the steep slope we had to challenge to get to the beach. was it worth it? u bet!
next stop: old port

climbing down the steps to reach the old port
the donkeys were used to transport goods and tourists

bye santorini!
greece was one of the places i was really looking forward on this eurotrip. athens was however, a tad bit disappointing. the acropolis looked more like a construction site with all its scaffolding, instead of an ancient structure. the crazy heat didnt help too. on the other hand, santorini was a refreshing change from all the big cities we have visited so far. it was a much needed break from the hectic schedule so far. i love santorini - for its laid back feel and beautiful landscape. its definitely a place i wld love to visit again.
