I wonder...

WHY do I always post things in the wee early hours of the day?

WE'RE MARRIED!!! Yes, it's true! What a wonderful, sweet, lovely experience our wedding day was. I recognize that things were probably quite stressful for others (THANK YOU!!!!!) and that all may not have gone as smoothly has hoped, BUT I tell you what --

IT WAS PERFECT!

Maybe it's because I literally told my sister, "You are in charge tomorrow" the day before the wedding, but I had no stress, no concerns, nothing. Which is a miracle considering the day before was the CRAZIEST day of my LIFE (and I've had some pretty crazy days!). It may have been the last minute shopping, the trying to coordinate things that should have been coordinated eons ago, the furious struggle to "finish" the house (HA!), OR maybe it was the evil little email from Costco saying my flower orders had been cancelled. (WHA?!) *sigh* Nasty little day. Oh grr...

But the wedding day -- PERFECT! (to me)

So much blabbing.

I shouldn't but I am.

It is almost 4 AM. Ugh! Long day today and it'll be a long day tomorrow.

Just to demonstrate the amount of dirt/paint/tiredness/stress that is on my body right now, Jack's cousin turned 1 today and we went to his birthday party. One little girl there looked at my hands, say the splashes of white and very concerned said, "What's wrong with your finger?!" It made me laugh.

#6: Jack sings! It's such a small but I love it! And one thing I totally love is that someone will say something that reminds him of a song, and he'll bust out singing it. I tend to do the same thing, so we'll start singing together.

At the bottom of this post it will say jack wrote it, but he didn't. It was me. In case you were wondering.

PAR-TAY!

Okay, seriously folks, the reception is SOO low-key. Come in jeans -- see if I care! There's no structure (for the most part). We'll be doing a ring ceremony around 5:45 ish, but you're on your own after that.

Eat. Play. Socialize. Dance if you want to.

I mean, consider this a picnic at a park on a beautiful July evening, except a couple of people will be kissing a lot and will be wearing SUPER sweet clothes (like a pin-stripe suit and a wedding dress). See? Low key.

Whose idea was this??

I do not recommend buying a house and getting married around the same time...though I do admit that it's pretty cool being a home owner. Like when I was changing the utilities in my name, they asked if I was the owner and I could say YES! That's pretty cool.

THERE'S SO MUCH TO DO!!! Last night I got pretty overwhelmed. Today I'm feeling pretty good -- there's at least a spark of hope that everything will get done in time (and the way I'd like them to get done).

Because of the craziness, I missed my countdown, so here it is:

#8 reason for loving Jack: He's so funny! Just my kind of humor, too -- goofy and sarcastic. Perfect! He's always making me laugh. Yes, there are more often than not times when he pesters the crap out of me (I think sometimes he thinks I'm just around to tease), but nevertheless, he amuses me. And that makes me happy.

#7 reason for loving Jack: He listens. OKAY, so it's true that I totally told him TWICE that our paint party tonight is a BBQ and when I mentioned it again he said, "WHAT?! We're doing a BBQ?" *sigh* selective hearing... BUT for important stuff he listens. I told him once a LONG time ago that having the door opened for me and having my hand held will always be important to me. He never fails to open my door or hold my hand. So nice!

#7!!! That means we get married in ONE WEEK!!!! WOW! (Oh, a pang of panic just hit me. hahaha)

Sorry there's no youtube video of the house yet. We haven't had a chance to put it on the internet yet. Soon, though. Very soon.

Countdown continues...

#9 reason I love Jack: He's SOO positive!! He's always telling me, "choose to be happy, Danielle." (I usually just grumble back). But the thing about him is that he takes his own advice! He literally decides to be happy and I just think it is such a wonderful quality! MMM! He's WONDERFUL!

WE GOT THE KEYS!!!!! We are officially homeowners!!!!

Jack has this FABULOUS idea of taking our video recorder to the house, doing a walk through, posting it to YouTube and then posting it here so YOU all can see it! Cool, huh? So, be on the lookout for that.

That's right, folks.... we're now on weather.com! Sacramento will be a sunny 90 degrees.

10 and counting....

That's right, folks -- TEN DAYS left! You know what that means??

We can check the weather in Sacramento for our wedding day... hahaha....

OH, I just checked!! Apparently they don't REALLY do 10 day forecasts, only 9 day. Boo.

My #10 reason for loving Jack: He's sensitive to my needs.

FOR example - We signed all the paperwork for the house today, (YES!) which is exciting, but totally stressful. As I watched the thousands of dollars cashier's check pass from my hands to the title company's agent I felt my chest tighten up inside. AND we still needed to buy the groomsmen's pants!!! (Whose idea was it to get married and buy a house AT THE SAME TIME!?)

Jack went to go get the pants and called me, very happily, because he had found pants on sale! :) (They ended up not being on sale, but that's not the point...) It meant so much to me that he would go out of his way to make sure he didn't spend very much on the pants since he knew I was stressing out over money. He's so nice like that!

Well, only finishing touches need to be made on wedding stuff... I'm going to include some pictures of really cool ideas I like. It has nothing to do with you guys, but it does serve as a spot for all these ideas from everywhere I like.
