Our Sweet Boy

Here he is...

We would like to proudly present Caleb Samuel Rann. He was born yesterday at 3:02PM. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces. He was 20 and 1/2 inches long. Both mommy and baby are great. We will update more later when Danielle is feeling a little better.

Tomorrow is D - Day!

We just got back from the doctor a little while ago and will be having our little boy tomorrow! The amniotic fluid was lower than on Tuesday and so she said it is time to have this baby. He is still breech so we have a C -section scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 3:00. Please remember all 3 of us in your prayers and we will update you as soon as we can!

Excitement . . . .

I feel like all I do is baby updates these days but it is kind of the main thing that is going on in our lives right now!

We had another doctor's visit today. She said baby is doing well (still breech) and I am thinned out and dialated further than last time but the amniotic fluid is looking pretty low - she said this means that it could be baby time! We are going back on Thursday to check the fluid again and unless I go into labor before then or unless the fluid dramatically increases, we will be having our little boy on this Friday, August 27th ! The grandparents are on standby ready to go, mine and baby's bags are packed, and the carseat is waiting by the door.

Please continue to pray for us and our baby boy - we are SO excited we can't stand it and are just praying he arrives safe and healthy. The doctor has put me on extra rest until Thursday which will be extra hard because I am just sitting around waiting to see if our little boy will come!

We appreciate so much your prayers and will update as soon as we have any more news!

Another Update . . .

We went to the doctor today to check on our little one. He is growing healthy and strong - we should start calling him "Chubs." He weighs in at about 7 lbs and 10 oz and still has 3 weeks until his due date! You could see his cute little chubby cheeks on the ultrasound! He is still breech and so we have a C - section scheduled for September 1st unless he decides to make an appearance before then. Please continue to pray for us and our precious baby boy! We will continue to keep you updated!

Baby News

Sorry for the delay in posting. Things have been crazy around here trying to prepare for our sweet baby! My doctor's appointment went well and the doctor said Mommy and Baby are doing great. I go again on Tuesday and if he is still breech, we will discuss scheduling a C - section. I have been quite uncomfortable the past few days and have been having quite a few contractions so, we are wondering if it is not too long until little boy makes his appearance. Travis is currently searching for a job while we are getting things set up to meet our new family member. Please continue to pray for us both - him as he starts back to school next week and is searching for a job and me as I am getting things ready around the house for our little boy! Also please pray as we are dealing with an insurance situation - just pray the paperwork comes in ON TIME!

Update . . .

S0, I thought I would give everyone a quick update on what is going on with us. We arrived safely home with no tramatic birth experiences on the plane last week. It was a smooth flight and Daddy, Mommy, and Baby did great. We did freak out a stewardess but are here and our sweet baby boy is still cooking away. I am at 36 weeks and counting - Can you believe it?! He will be here before we know it! Today we go for our first doctors visit stateside to check up on our little one. As far as we know, he is still breech, which means a probable C - section. Please pray for us and our sweetheart today. We will let you know more when we do!

New York Group

We have been so busy lately that I completely forgot to post about the awesome group that we had 2 weeks ago. They were from New York City and were INCREDIBLE! I didn't get to hang out with them the entire week but Travis told me how hard they worked alongside the national church and I was able to see the relationships they made with the people of the church. Both the national church and the New York group worked so hard to impact a community of Mexico City. They worked together putting on a Vacation Bible School, did door to door saturation, and English classes. It was truly a wonderful week.

Update . . .

Just an update . . . .

I have missed a couple of "Thankful Thursdays" due to being out of town and being extra busy so I will fill you in on this Monday. Today, I am soooo thankful for a healthy baby boy. We just returned from a doctor's visit and she says that everything is going great, he is measuring a little big for his gestational age and is turned the wrong way ( breech - grrrr) , but he is healthy, Mommy is healthy, and we are ready to fly! I cannot believe that in just a few days we will be in the United States and that in just a few weeks we will be parents! We are so incredibly excited and are praising the Lord for his blessing and provision. Please remember to pray for us as we fly out in the next little while. Pray that the flight is smooth and uncomplicated for all three of us. We are packing up and saying our goodbyes and can't wait to see everyone soon!
