37 Week OB Visit
We had our 37 week OB visit on Monday. I was starting to measure small so I had a non-stress test and an ultrasound. The non-stress test was reactive. The baby was moving all over the place and it showed heart rate accelerations which is important. We also got another sneak peak at the baby again by ultrasound. The baby is getting so big. We could see its mouth moving and the limbs stretching out. All of the abdominal organs were so clear on the ultrasound. We didn't peak "below the belt" so the sex is still a surprise. The baby's current weight was estimated at 7lbs 2oz +/- 1 lb, so it's not very precise, but at least it's not a 10 lb baby! All in all everything looked fine and I'm probably measuring small because the baby is dropping down in the pelvis. I had another short week at work which is nice right now and I'm starting a 4 day weekend. Trevor unfortunately works several overnights starting tonight, new years eve, which he is not looking forward to. We're hoping for one last date night in Portland this weekend to an Italian restaurant which I've heard good things about. I hope everyone has a very happy new year!!!

36 Week OB Visit
We had our 36 week OB visit yesterday. Everything is going well. The baby is moving more each day. I am now going to weekly to OB visits. I am 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced which does not mean I'll deliver any earlier, but it's better than nothing! The baby is head down which we checked by ultrasound. I can feel the feet kicking in the upper abdomen and ribs. I am still able to exercise on the treadmill or elliptical but it's MUCH slower than it used to be. Hopefully exercising will make the time pass more quickly. I set my last day of work to be on January 15th, the day after my official due date. Of course, I'll be done when I deliver. I plan to take 3 months off and return part-time. We're hoping that Trevor can switch with his partners while I'm in the hospital and for several days when we get home. He has two partners who have babies due about the same time so it will be tricky with his schedule. My weight gain is up to 26lbs which is normal but I hope that it starts to slow down. Unfortunately with the holidays here, the office is filled with junk food. Other than that, there's not much else going on. We'll have Christmas eve dinner at our house with friends. Trevor will be working Christmas day and New Year's eve overnight this year. Merry Christmas!

The nursery is complete, minus baby
Well, the nursery is pretty much done! The closet is very full as you can see above. We were so fortunate to get tons of clothes from Trevor's sister who has two boys. Even if it is a girl, most of them are gender-neutral, it doesn't matter in the beginning anyways. Above our couch we plan to put up family pictures which will probably be mostly baby pictures. Our little library has already started to build up. This will probably be the cleanest that this room will ever be, things will just get messier once the baby arrives! I had alot of fun decorating the nursery and Trevor helped me pick things out and organize. Needless to say nursery decorating is not an interest of his. We're getting all ready with the video monitor, carseat in my car, and the pack-and-play will be in our room where the baby will sleeep for the first several months. Trevor is making sure that everything is on my side, such as the monitors and pack-n-play. Today marks my official 36 weeks! I have a fun weekend planned down in portland on Saturday with my girlfriends. We're getting massages, lunch, shopping and game night. This will actually be my fourth prenatal massage and I've enjoyed all of them! I'm trying to get all of this stuff in while I can relax and enjoy:)

Thanksgiving with the family
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. My parents, godparents, sister, brother-in-law and our good friends all came over to celebrate. We actually had to put an extension on our table to fit all 14 of us! My sister brought the desserts, all 5-6 cakes and pies from Wenatchee. We stuffed ourselves silly and fell asleep early. We braved 'black friday' shopping in Portland the next day. On Saturday we went up to a local Christmas tree farm and cut down our tree. There is a petting zoo (see Trevor and the pony and goats!), Santa, and gift shop. This is our 5th year going to this tree farm, Billy really loves it. On Sunday we had a baby shower with our Longview friends, it was a very fun and relaxing afternoon. My parents were able to make it to this one which was nice. I continue to be overwhelmed with how generous everyone is for a little baby, we are pretty much set for the arrival.
