Yes, I know. I finally have a new post. It's only been a month.... well a little more but whos counting? (I have an idea cuz she's been chastizing me about my blog nearly every chance she gets, but dont worry Jessie I wont name names!;)
Thanksgiving was great. It's always nice to see family and the food was pretty darn tasty too. Isabela enjoyed playing with her cousins. I only wish I would have taken more pictures. I told myself before going that I would take a lot of pics so I could add them to this lovely blog, but somehow I ended up with about 3 pics. I guess I was distracted by the nearly 30 people that were milling about my parents house!
Since Thanksgiving we haven't done a whole lot that is blog worthy. We did put up our Christmas tree. Isabela was a big help. Then once it was up she broke 3 ornaments in as many days which led to a very early 'undecorating' of the tree. It is still up but only has ornaments on about the top four branches.
It did snow the other day and we tried to get Isabela to play in it. It went pretty good for about 5 minutes. By then, since she couldnt/wouldnt keep her mittens on, her liitle hands were nearly frozen and she screamed bloody murder til we took her in.

We'll try the snow again another time. Since then we've tried to avoid the freezing cold by playing indoors. Indoors. All Day. Endless time to occupy. Isabela did have her first 'dress up'. She requested in one way or another to wear the following. Her disney leotard (thats the pink tutu looking thing), over that she put her dora pajama top and to complete the lovely ensemble ..her purple water shoes. With socks.

For some reason my other pictures arent downloading... i am going to publish anyway and Hopefully i cant get to it tomorrow

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat!

Isabela went trick or treating for her first time this year. She loved it! Though what kid doesnt love free candy?! She went with Cadence of course and they literally ran house to house. She would even say "twi o teet" when the door was answered. She really liked the lollipops and got way more candy than any 1 yr old should ever eat, but we sure had fun! The next morning I had put her candy away but her bucket was still sitting out. The first thing she did when she got up was grab her bucket and go the door and say "twi o teet!" Try explaing to a 21 month old that you can only trick or treat once a year!

At the Zoo

While her Smith cousins, Rachel and Tyson were visiting from Arizona Grandma took us all on a trip to the Zoo. It was a nice day and she had a lot of fun with her cousins. This time she was a lot more interested in the animals then when we took her months ago. (but she wasnt so interested in letting mom take pictures!) She really liked the elephants and the tiger.

Later that day we went to Sam and Jessies to carve pumkins. Isabela and Cadence decorated their pumkins with markers.

I AM THANKFUL FOR...

In honor of Thanksgiving I am creating a "Thankful" page element. I am going to list things I'm thankful for. I'll add new things day by day as they come to me. I would like to invite everyone to add to the post thing they are greatful for. Just 'comment' on it and I will add it to the post. I wish I new how to have the comments show automatically but I cannot figure it out. If anyone know how to do this or has a better idea how I can show what everyone is thankful for please let me know. I'm fairly new to this blog thing, but I am no genius on computers anyway. (In fact I sometimes think computers are allergic to me seeing as how they never seem to work properly around me )

Cornbellys

Grandma Reyes took us to the Thanksgiving Point Cornbellys Pumpkin Fest. She was able to play with her Arizona cousins Rachel and Tyson. We raced 'human powered' gocarts. We jumped on a big airfilled pillow, watched pig races, took a hayride and all sorts of fun activities. It was a beautiful, warm day especially for October and we had a lot of fun.

Finally at the behest of many of our friends we have joined the blogger cult. So now we can show off Isabela in style and maybe I'll add a few tidbits about Tomas and myself as well. This weekend Isabela went to her best friend Cadence's birthday party. They went to the Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving point. They wore their Halloween costumes, played games, and saw the animals.

We also had the annual Townsend Halloween dinner this weekend. It was a lot of fun and a little disturbing as there were a lot of cross-gender costumes this year. Tomas, Isabela and I were a pirate family. Happy Halloween everyone!
