We got to do some pretty fun stuff this year. In March we went to Puerto Rico. In September we went to Disneyland. In between we had a pretty nice summer! There were trips to the zoo, carnivals, Daddy daughter camping, trips up the canyon and days spent at home just hangin out, baking cookings and enjoying life.

Disneyland
I dont remember the last time I went to Disneyland. So when we went in September it was like going for the first time. I think I rivaled Isabela in excitement to go... well maybe.. okay, probably not. She was so excited and that just made it all the more fun. We ended up driving.. (gulp!). The kids actually did really well. It did help that on the way there we stopped and stayed a while in St. George and spent the night in a hotel. However the drive back home was a one shot deal. Still went pretty good, but we got home about 3 in the morning.
A few rides didnt go over so well with Isabela. Like Mr. Toads Wild Ride. It happened to be our first ride and sort of ruined it for any other ride that was inside a building. It took a lot of coaxing to get Isabela to go on 'indoor' rides after that. Then, It's a Small World sort of evened things out... a little bit. It ended up being one of Isabelas favorites. She also really liked the Mickey Mouse ferris wheel where your cage seat isnt stationary. It swings back and forth and she loved it. She didnt even mind the big drop on Splash Mountain. Getting wet however did not go over so well.
We were able to take Tomas J on quite a few rides to. There werent any that seemed to scare him. Actually there werent any that seemed to make to much of an impression at all. He did love the pool at our hotel and he mastered the straw while there!
My favorite and Tomnas' was the Tower of Terror! I wanted to go on the roller coaster but it eluded us. Once it even got closed wehen we were next in line! Rotten luck! Having the kids there made it a little exhausting and hard to go on a few rides, but it was also way fun watching Isabela get so excited over different things. We went with our friends the Lewis'. We were able to switch off and on to be able to go on rides with out kids.
Whats funny is she keeps talking baout taking pics with all the characters again. We had to coax and bribe and do anything we could to get her to take pics with everyone but Mickey Mouse and he isnt even a favorite. She loves Cinderella right now and Silvermist is her fav fairy. We were so lucky that silvermist was with tink when we took pics yet she didnt want her picture. And she absolutely refused to take a pic with Lightening who she absolutely loved at the time. Kids.Go figure. (You may notice that Tomas is in a lot of the character pics cus that is the only way she would take them.)
Isabela keeps talking bout what she wants to do when we go back. We havent made any plans to go back just yet, but apparently she is already making a list. I cant wait til Tomas J is older so he'll have fun when we go back too. Well... I can wait for him to be older, but you know what I mean!

New Moon sneak peek
Okay so I am totally on a blog roll! New wallpaper and bunch of new posts. I am almost up to date on stuff I need/want to post. Now I am even managing to squeeze in a post about the beloved Twilight series. If you're a fan then you might know that the second movie New Moon is scheduled to come out this November. YAY! If you haven't seen the trailer then check it out here... http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/index.html
(Thanks to Jessie for informing me of this trailer.) I have to say the second movie looks a whole lot better than the first. In an oxymoron-ish (yes I just made that word up myself) way I find myself disappointed and delighted with Jacob. Delighted because ...well ..Hello? where were all those muscles hiding in the first movie?.. nice! and kudos on the hair cut. Why disappointed then?.. because I am not supposed to like Jacob better than Edward. Sorry Robert Pattinson. Take heart in knowing that umpteen thousands of girls disagree with me, but you are just not what I had in mind for Edward and though your a good actor ...I still havent uh -fallen- (I cant hink of the word I want here)... for your character like I did for the novel Edward. And now stand you next to Jacob and I am supposed to think you're "inhumanly beautiful" and want to "ogle" you? Oh well, all said and done I am excited to see the second movie!

In April Tomas' work sent him to Puerto Rico. We decided to use some flyer miles and tag along. We got to hang out with Elder and Sister Reyes aka grandpa and grandma. And grandma finally got to see our new arrival in the flesh. We found a new beach that was perfect for the little ones. Not to wavy and more like a shallow pool. Isabela loved building sandcastles and we all loved spending time with Grandma and grandpa. It was also really great to actually get some time with the sun as well. While Utah was still getting 6 inches of snow in April we were on the beach. aaahhhh.

Egg Hunt Madness
For 9 years now we have had an annual Easter Egg hunt at my Mom and Dads house. Even the adults get in on this craziness. First my Mom and Dad hide tons of eggs for the adults to find. The eggs are filled with candy, tickets and money. The tickets are later traded for prizes. Once the adults find their eggs then we all hide a bunch more eggs for the kids to find. In the end literally hundreds of eggs are hidden and found. Theres a lot of fun goading and teasing each other over who found more eggs, whose eggs had more money, who got better tickets and trying to reassure Mom that everyone doesnt have to come out perfectly even. Thats half the fun. This year Terry and Kristi brought a little extra to the party. They had recently taken their family hunting for geode rocks and they brought a bunch to share. Everyone loved cracking open the rocks to see the cool crystals inside. Thanks guys! Also this year it was decided that this year would be the last year for the egg hunt. (Probably the best for Moms blood pressure:)) The kids are getting older and our annual Egg hunt will now become an annual summer party. I'll miss the egg hunt, but I look forward to any family party and am excited to start a new tradition. Thanks Mom and Dad for the hunt and all the effort that was put into making so many memories.

Yes, I am just now getting around to blogging about our Easter. We had a really nice Easter Sunday. Isabela was so excited to find her basket plus everyone elses. After church Titi Nylia came over and we hunted for Easter eggs in our back yard. Nylia came to have dinner with us. She makes the best rolls! YUMMMMM!
My handsome lil guy in his Sunday Best!
I love that Isabela holds his hand here..

Lena and Jason came to visit in April. It was so nice to see them. Isabela loved playing with her cousins. It was a short visit or at least it seemed that way. We got to have dinner with them and then another day we met them at a park and the kids played on the toys. For the next week at least Isabela kept asking to play with them again and again. I had to keep explaining that they lived far away and had gone back home. It's nice to have family that can make such great friends too!
I started this post weeks... uh months ago. I didnt get very far. I dont know what I planned to say about the pictures. Probably just pictures I thought were cute and wanted to share. He's about 2 weeks old. Isabela was already loving being a big sis. She gets books from her room then comes and 'reads' them to him.

Not so Pregnant
So I was going to do this big post saying that we were already pregnant again. Then at the end I would say April Fools! But the more I thought about it the more ...supersticious I became. You know with the Karma stuff. Like when someone takes a few days off work cuz their "Grandma dies". Then a week later their grandma really does die! Well I REALLY do not want to be pregnant again right now and the more I thought about my little April Fools joke the less I wanted to mess with Karma. So anyway, I do have a few other jokes planned, but I will tell about those in a later post.
Also if any of you are wondering :
The origin of April Fools day is a little obscure. Some say it came about when we changed from the Julian calander to the Gregorian. Those who still used the Julian were called April Fools. May first was considered the first day of summer and was the signal to start spring planting. Any one who started early was an .. April Fool. These 'fools' were taunted by their neighbors. And so the jokes begin....

Isabela turns 3
Isabela turned 3 this year! We just had a small party at Chuck E Cheese. Then went home for presents, cake and icecream. She is getting so big so fast. Almost everyday she does something to crack me up and make wonder just where she came from. she is my little 3 year old going on 18. The other day Talesha and I ran some errands together. Talesha drove and after we were done she helped me take my things inside. We were just walking in the door and Isabela says "Talesh-eea, thanks for driving us to the store." Then later I was putting her down for her nap and she says, "Mommy, thanks for taking care of me." It was the cutest! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABELA!
The Handy Manny tool set was by far the favorite of the day. Here she is fixing our table.
She also got some dress ups. Her and Cadence show off there princess style!
Harlem Globe Trotters
Shortly after Tomas J. was born Isabela went on a Daddy daughter date to the Harlem Globetrotters. It was a little to soon for me to feel comfortable taking Tomas J. out. But they went with Titi Nylia and Titi Cris and her in-laws. Tomas said they had a good time and Isabela loved the music.

Tomas Reyes Jr.
Tomas Daniel Reyes Jr
Since I had to be induced with Isabela I didnt want to be induced with this baby. A lot of my girlfriends thought I was crazy for not going with week early inducement, but I wanted the experience of "just going into labor". Well I got what I wanted and (instead of a week late like Isabela) baby Tomas came a week early anyway. At 1:30 am on Tuesday January 6th I started having contractions. (now here is where a lot of girls get jealous). Four hours later Tomas Jr entered our world! He was 6lbs 13 oz and 18 in. long.
He is a week old already and we are so happy with our little family. Isabela is so excited "her baby is finally out". She refers to him as "my baby", Saying things like " Mommy when my baby is old he can eat pancakes." Today she said " Mommy, I love my brother." She is so cute with him. Thanks to everyone for all their help and support!
Oh and for those who are wondering... yes, I have a black eye in these pictures. I could make up a really cool story about what happened, but really .. Isabela knocked me good one with her head. Yup, thats it. Her head hit my eye and I got to wear a really pretty shiner for about 2 weeks.
