Christmas Letter 2014
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014
We hope this letter
finds you well and still in the Christmas Spirit as we start the New Year.
We are excited for
the New Year and hope it brings lots of excitement and success to all of you.
If you didn’t hear,
the Berry’s moved in 2013. It was a quick move and a hard one to be honest,
But sometimes you
just have to do, what you have to do.
New address: 11020 North 5500 West Highland, UT 84003
Highlights from 2013:
Brady went back to BYU
Hawaii to play soccer and was named to the PAC WEST Academic Team. He had a lot of fun, even though it was not
the same this year without Brody being there with him. We are glad he will be
home for a while to work and continue classes on line at BYUH.
Brody received his
mission call while at BYU Hawaii playing Basketball. It was difficult not being
there with him as he opened his call but it turned out to be a unique
experience watching him open his call over skype.
He was called to the Villa Hermosa, Mexico mission. He left in July and had to return home
after four months for surgery. He has
been a lot of fun and help to the family and me, so it has been a great
blessing to have him around.
Braxton started his
senior year at Lone Peak playing football and he is now wrestling. The football team shared the region
championship and made it to the semi finals before being defeated by
Bingham. Braxton was a receiver and
kicker for the team. He made the High
Honor Role this last fall and he just turned 18 on the 22nd and is looking
forward to going on a mission sometime this summer.
Bronson turned 16 and is a
sophomore at Lone Peak. He also played
football on the sophomore team, which went undefeated. He has done extremely
well in his classes and I love to have him come to my office to see me everyday. He is working on getting his drivers license
and is one of the managers for the sophomore basketball team. He is such a joy to have around.
Hollie is still dancing,
playing the piano and she has started learning how to play the guitar. She helped her Aunt Collette make
decorations for the festival of trees in memory of Todd’s sister Rialeen who
passed away this year from cancer.
Hollie was able to dance at the Festival of trees and the tree was
unbelievably beautiful. The prettiest tree there if you ask us, just like
Raileen’s life. It was titled “Going to
Grandma’s House”.
Britton is still playing
soccer and basketball and this year he has started wrestling. He just loves to be with his friends and
longs to move back to our old house.
His Soccer team has won several metals this year and he just loves his
soccer coach. He got his Arrow of Light
and has moved into new scouts.
Miriah is her mother’s
keeper. She has a better memory than me
and never lets me forget. She is still
playing the piano. She loves to get her
homework done. She loves to read and
wants to do everything her teacher asks.
She too, longs for the old neighborhood and often goes home to her
second home (Sienna’s) after school.
She was the most excited this year for Christmas, all she wanted was a
rainbow loom and to be Rudolph.
Todd is still working at
Lehi Roller Mills along with some Real Estate.
He works in the young men organization in our new ward. He spoke at Raileen’s funeral and gave the
best talk I have ever heard. He really
is a good speaker; I wish he did more of it.
I am still working at Lone Peak as a Student Advocate, and I
love it. I am often reminded because life is so busy, that we need to be still
and listen. We hope you had time to be
still and enjoy the spirit of Christmas. We are grateful for the Gospel of
Jesus Christ in our lives and the blessings that come through our
obedience. We wish for many still
moments in the New Year when you can feel the spirit and our Heavenly Fathers
love.
