August 30... School, ND quit, two piano lessons, Little Tokyo dinner at the mall and a concert at Thunder Valley (Hearty Hars, George Thurogood and John Fogerty) and I feel asleep twice. Long week and I was exhausted. We got home almost midnight.
Aug 29... Black day in TK. Three piano lessons after school. After school care wants to know how I handle MC. I told them I just avoid power struggles.
Back to school night for Jill's class
I stayed on campus until five for choir and then orchestra. I was also asked (and recommended) to be an induction coach this school year. I had to check with my own induction coach about the stipend per person.
Aug 27
Braces for Jill. Ross took her to her appt at 8:15. Today's color was purple. A parent felt bad about a broken marble connector and bought five things in my wish list
After the three girls went to the youth fireside with sundaes, Allen, Jill, and Ross and I went for a walk in the evening looking for the cul-de-sac cat.
Then we played a game of Clue. Ross won -- Miss Scarlet with the revolver in the billiard room
Tonight was back to school night 6-8pm
My toy bin is still the favorite. Blue was the color of the day.
I went to Stake Council at 7am. I sat by Emily in Relief Society. Now I'm lying on the hammock and catching up on the blog.
August 24
Temple was closed so I slept in, went for a long morning walk, went to a soccer game for Jill in Rancho Cordova, Jane and Emma had a 5-hour friend hang out at our house, did a pile of ironing and watched WCTH eps, and worked on a few school slides and docs. Jill is playing one year up on a new team in granite Bay. The weather was bizarre during the game. It was overcast and then it was sprinkling and then it was raining and then it was pouring and then the sun came out and then it got hot and then it overcast again and then it started to sprinkle out and then it started to rain again. On the way home, the temperature of the car dropped 13° within 15 minutes. Ross bought pizza for dinner and pulled out soda and then the girls had s'mores with their friends.

After school and one piano lesson we went to the Melting Pot for their four course meal and then walked across the street and saw the last show of our summer season ticket six series. Didn't like the show's dialogue, actually story was pretty boring. I got drowsy after a long week at school. The fondue, especially the cheese and chocolate were scrumptious!!

Happy Anniversary Ross and Andrea Tucker!
Andrea told me they have been celebrating their Anniversary all Summer long. They bought season tickets to attend Broadway plays and have seen many. They attended a Jason Miraz concert last weekend and have seen others.
One tradition they do for their Anniversary is that Andrea purchases a store bought cake which she does only once a year.
They will be celebrating their Anniversary this weekend at a Fondue Restaurant. What is the name again???
Andrea- Ross is a gift from Heavenly Father that I get to enjoy everyday. I love talking to him. He is so kind, supportive, and encouraging. He's a wonderful father and husband.
Ross-Andrea is a devoted mother, spouse, teacher, and follower of Christ. Her students love going to Mrs. Tucker's TK Turtles class, and Andrea works so hard at making the class fun, which is isn't easy especially with Andrea going through speech therapy! She also gets up early most Saturdays and during school breaks to attend the temple when everyone else is in bed. I knew she was awesome when we got married, but she keeps getting better every year!
Like Ross said, Andrea is truly AWESOME and is a great blessing to her family and all of us!
Regarding what Andrea said about Ross, I really appreciate and respect how well Ross takes care of Andrea. He lightens her load and serves her lovingly! It is touching to hear about.
You two are great examples of an ideal marriage! Thank you! Enjoy!

After school I taught once piano lesson, we had tacos/tostada for dinner, Ross and I enjoyed a BOGO ice cream cone from BR while the girls were at youth night and we enjoyed a 21 cake that night.
I put out wedding photo album downstairs so the kids could look at the pictures.
We'll celebrate more on Friday. Today was orange today at TK, by the way :)
