2 Years Home

 1 I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart;
   I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you;
   I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.    -Psalm 9

May 9th and 12th marked two years that our little ones have been home.  It may sound silly that I’m even blogging about this, but trust me…it’s a big deal.  Not every parent even gets to bring their child/children home…ever.  We did.  Unless you have been there, you can’t imagine what it is like to carry a baby (or babies in my case), deliver them, then be sent home without them.  Not knowing what their future will look like.  Not being able to pick them up, kiss them, bathe them, nurse them, or rock them to sleep whenever you want.  Ok…enough of that from me…sorry.  Our children are amazingly healthy.  They are doing so much.  They know their colors and many shapes, can both count to 13 (sorry Mrs. Kim…I’ll try to teach them one more number 🙂 ), can put together puzzles (simple ones), like to color and play with playdoh, play outside (it is seriously their favorite thing to do), love to sing songs (current favorites are “Itsy Bitsy Spider” “ABC’s” “Old MacDonald” “Head and Shoulders” “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and “This Little Light of Mine”), read books, dance, and so much more.  We are so blessed!!  If you are interested in looking back, you can click here to see the pictures of when we brought them home and you can click here to see pictures of their 1 year home.  Here are some pictures of them this May…TWO years home.  ImageImageImageAnna Claire and Charlie…Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know! 🙂

New Posts are Coming

I have 5 drafts of new posts waiting to be uploaded once I add pictures.  I will do that soon.

Our builder didn’t clear out all of our backyard so Devin has been working recently to clear out all the vines, dead trees, poison ivy, etc.  He’s making good progress.  He bought us a hammock the other day to hang back there…so instead of updating our blog…this is what we did this afternoon. 🙂  ImageThanks Daddy for all you do!

Mall with Daddy

During the winter I would take Anna Claire and Charlie to the mall in the mornings to play in the play area then we would sometimes eat lunch.  That’s it.  However, the other night it was a little cool outside so we decided to take the kids to the mall to play.  Then Daddy treated us to dinner.  Well, the fun didn’t stop there.  We then got to ride the carousel, which was a big hit! Then, Daddy got us ice cream, but we thought it was more fun to share his milkshake!  We love Daddy! 🙂Image

Also, Devin’s parents’ neighbors have some chickens with baby chicks and some bunnies in their back yard.  Now, every time we go visit they want to see the animals and get the eggs.  Too cute!  Actually, the other day we were at the zoo and Charlie pointed to the rabbits in the farm and said “Ruby and Jewel!”  (those are the names of the neighbor’s rabbits)Image

Busy Busy…Before 8 a.m.

I remember the days when I could put our babies in one spot and they were still there a few minutes later.Image  That is definitely not the case now.  Anna Claire and Charlie are always busy.  When we are home, they go from room to room playing.  To show you how busy they are I took some pictures one morning.  Notice the time on the clock.Image  AC and Charlie just went upstairs.  Here they are playing (notice the clean playroom.) Image I went downstairs and waited.  They came downstairs at this time.Image  I went upstairs to find this (not too bad, but considering the small amount of time they were up there, the room isn’t as tidy).Image  By the time I got downstairs, they had gone to Anna Claire’s room and brought some of her toys to the den.Image  In about 10 minutes they had been all over the house.  I love that they have fun playing together at home.  🙂

Same Title

I just wrote a new post below called “Best Buddies.”  After I posted it I realized I used that same title once before.  Once you read the post below, click here to read the other “Best Buddies” post and you can see how much has changed in 2 years. 🙂
