They just laughed and laughed about this and continued coloring the tub. 🙂

I LOVE THEM!

Tonight we went to Anna Claire’s and Charlie’s preschool for their Fall Festival.  They got their faces painted, picked out two books from the book fair thanks to Granny and Nana, got their fingerprint cards made by the police officers, ate a yummy spaghetti dinner, each class performed some songs for us, then we got to visit their classroom to see some crafts they made and where they get to play and learn each day they go.  I’m going to try to upload the video to YouTube soon but in the meantime, here are some pictures from the evening. 🙂

Each Fall since the kiddos left the NICU we have taken them back to visit.  There were so many nurses and doctors that took care of our little ones it would be impossible to see them all and say thanks.  However, we always try to make sure their primary neonatologist, nurse practitioner, and nurse are there.  I can only imagine if this were my career (which it will never be!) that it would be so encouraging to see the teeny tiny babies who were once on CPAP, PICC lines, biliblankets, feeding tubes, fighting for life in the beginning….walk in and say hi.  Well that’s just what we did.  Anna Claire was pretty social.  Charlie was shy.  I think the only thing he talked about was that he was going to be a pirate for halloween. 🙂  I promise you that every day I walked this hall on the 5th floor at Palmetto Health Richland from March 7, 2009 to May 11, 2009 I wondered if I would ever see this:  Yeah, God is pretty awesome…isn’t He? 

Devin started an online tutoring business last spring.  He tutors some evenings at our house.  I usually will take Anna Claire and Charlie outside to play or to the park or out to run errands so that he can have a quiet house.  Well, Tuesday night it was rainy and just plain yucky so after we ate dinner I decided to take the kiddos to the mall.  We rode the carousel, played in the icecream truck, helicopter, and boat, then played in the indoor play area.  We had a great rainy night full of fun! 🙂

Our kiddos have pretty good imaginations.  One of their favorite things to do right now is pretend they are “Paco” and “Jennifer” and that daddy is “Fernando.”  {Random?  Yeah, I know!  🙂 Devin made up these names one day just to be silly with the kids and it stuck. 🙂 } They even talk funny when they pretend like this.

One afternoon we were playing outside and I was laughing so hard at them.  AC was wearing her princess skirt over her clothes.  It was obviously a little cool because I have them dressed in long sleeves (but no shoes?).  AC was trying to play hopscotch and Charlie was “bovering me!” (bothering)  He thinks it is so funny sometimes when he bothers her.  Oh the love of siblings!  In these pictures you can see how he is just running circles around her to annoy her and she is telling him to go play!  🙂
