A few weeks ago we went to Myrtle Beach. We had a wonderful time! We built sand castles, splashed in the ocean, played in the pools and lazy rivers, flew kites, took an early morning walk on the beach, ate popsicles, went to Barfoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach, had fun at the Pavillion, played with sparklers on the beach at night, watched movies and ate popcorn, and just enjoyed time with our little family and our special friends. 🙂 Thank you Broadwells for making the arrangements. We can’t wait to go again.

The BEACH!
Easter 2012
We started our Easter festivities with our annual egg hunt at Mrs. Elizabeth’s house.
Here’s our annual picture with the basket! 🙂
Here’s the first basket picture for reference. 🙂
Then we dyed eggs with Nana and their great-granny.
Cole, Sarah Ann, and Reece came over to dye and hunt eggs with us.
Here they are all dressed for church.
We had fun eating with family and hunting eggs but what was really special was sharing the Gospel with our children…hearing them talk about how Jesus wasn’t in the tomb any more…that’s really why we celebrate Easter.

As you can tell, I’m playing catch up with my blogging. But…here are a couple recent pictures. We picked blueberries with Nathan, Sarah Ann, and Reece last Friday.
Tonight we played with some of our neighborhood friends Bryson, Mac, Sarah Ann, and Reece.
Spring Break 2012
Anna Claire and Charlie went to preschool this past school year for two mornings a week from 9-12. Their school followed the local school district’s schedule for holidays. During their spring break we went to the zoo with Granny and Aunt Melanie, went to park with Caroline, Mrs. Melissa, Sarah Ann, Reece, and Mrs. Cortney, and planted flowers with Aunt Melanie.

A few weeks later Aunt Melanie went to prom. I love this picture of the kiddos with Meme and Granny and then this picture of them with Meme and Big Papa.

Father’s Day
The Thursday before Father’s day, Anna Claire and her daddy when on a date to Chick-fil-a with some of her friends (Addie, Carlie, and Sarah Ann) and their daddies. Now let me tell you, this restaurant did a great job…there was a red carpet, table cloths, flowers for the girls, a dance floor, the cows were there, and…A CARRIAGE RIDE in the parking lot. They had a wonderful time.

Since the girls got to do something special, Cortney and I took the boys on a date as well. I love these little guys! 🙂

Friday we took Daddy to eat at Bellacinos then to the driving range.
On Saturday the kids got to go fishing with Grandpa.
That night we had dinner with my dad and granddads.
Sunday we had dinner with Devin’s dad and got to slip-n-slide! (out of respect for all the adults who participated, I will leave those pictures off the blog! 😉 )

I am so thankful for my grandfathers, my dad, and for my husband.
Water
As the temperatures around here are getting higher, water becomes our friend. The other week the four of us took a day trip to Charleston. My mom and dad gave us a membership to the aquarium and we had a blast! The kids loved seeing all the animals and even petting some! Then we ate lunch at the market and walked down to Waterfront park where they played in the fountain.
The next weekend they went to their friend, Sophia’s, birthday party at Saluda Shoals and they loved playing in the splash area.
Then, the next week we went to their friend, Trevor’s house and got to play on a slip-n-slide for the first time.

Next post…the beach!
