In May we were planning to go camping. Unfortunately it was supposed to rain all weekend so we changed our plans. Granny and Papa gave us tickets to the Georgia Aquarium for Christmas so we decided to go visit! We also wanted to take the kids to Legoland too. The first day we went to Legoland and played in the hotel pool. The kids loved the 4D movie and the rides and building things with legos.
The next day we went to the aquarium. The kids loved everything from the touch tanks to the dolphin show! It is amazing seeing the big beluga whales and manta rays. Thanks Granny and Papa for the tickets. 🙂
We wrapped up our trip the same way we pretty much wrap up every trip…with dinner and a game of checkers at Cracker Barrel. 🙂 We are so thankful for the time we get to spend as our little family of four!
Overnight in Atlanta
End of Season
In May, we wrapped up tball for Charlie and dance for Anna Claire. Charlie had a great season with great coaches and teammates. I was so proud of how good he did! To celebrate, one of the teammates invited the team over to swim. We had pizza, cupcakes with their numbers on them, and the kids got trophies. It sure was fun!

Anna Claire had her dance recital. She knows her dances well, however during the tap dance, she spent half the time with her hand up to her face blocking the bright lights and looking for us in the audience. Haha! The ballet dance was wonderful! 🙂 We’re thankful for the family that came to watch her.

Devin and I enjoy watching our little ones do the things they are good at and enjoy!
Ahhh…the beach!
We’ve made two trips to Isle of Palms this summer and they have been wonderful. Cortney and I packed the kids up one day and headed down there. It was a great day!
The Sunday before Memorial Day we did the same thing, but this time we brought the husbands along. 🙂
It was another great day on the beach followed by dinner downtown Charleston.
I really like South Carolina…two hours from the beach and two hours from the mountains! And I love fun time with family and friends!
Devin’s 31st birthday and Mother’s Day
At the end of April we had some family and friends over to celebrate Devin’s birthday. The weather wasn’t great so we were all cramped inside, but we had fun! 🙂 Here are some pictures from his party. The last two are from his actual birthday dinner at home.

The kids hosted a great mother’s day tea at preschool with refreshments (Thunder Cake – that they made), a play/songs, and gifts. Nana and Granny joined us too!
Here we are before church on Mother’s Day.
And here are some pictures of mother’s day lunch at the Bonesteel’s house and dinner at Granny and Papa’s.

“…She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” Proverbs 31
Easter 2014
‘The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” ‘ Matthew 28:5-6
On Easter morning we read the Easter story with the kids from their storybook Bible. We also have these neat eggs that each have a symbol of the Easter story that we looked through and talked about.
We also surprised them with fun stuff in their baskets. 🙂
Then we headed to church!
We had fun the week before dying eggs, hunting eggs, making egg trees, and visiting the bunny!

Here are some pictures from our fun at my parents’ house and Devin’s parents’ house.

“I serve a risen Savior
He’s in the world today.
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy;
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!…”
