Here are some things we’ve been up to recently…
100 days of school!
Literacy day…Rocket Racoon and Belle did a wonderful job getting on stage and telling the audience why they chose their favorite book. 🙂
Mardi Gras playdate on an early release date with friends!

Y’all! I finally took down our Christmas cards. I just love looking at them each year!
Basketball…Charlie’s LBC team wrapped up their season the other week. Â It was such a good little team!
Charlie is playing on another team at Northside. Â They had a really cool opportunity the other week to scrimmage at halftime of the varsity Lexington versus River Bluff game!
Charlie update…as I mentioned in an earlier post, he has recently been diagnosed with Childhood Absence Epilepsy.  He had to go for some bloodwork the other day and he was a trooper!  No tears or fussing.  He just set there like a brave kid.  His sister was cheering him on (funny side story…the tech was about to stick him and she said, “I’ve gotta get out of here” and she left the room! Thankfully a few seconds later she came back in and said, “I’m ok” and watched them draw C’s blood. 🙂 )

That’s all for now!
Friday was wonderful! We slept a little later than normal then spent the morning with my Pa…coloring, eating icecream, playing golf, showing off gymnastics, and delivering his valentine. Next we met friends to pass out valentines we made for the residents at Aunt Spencer’s work and then ate lunch with them at a new restaurant.
After lunch we went to visit Meme and Big Papa.  My sweet Meme (who will be 85 this year…I know you shouldn’t share a woman’s age, but let’s face it, when you’re almost 85 that’s something to be celebrated!) made a batch of snickerdoodles for us since she knew we were coming by.  She said she had to have something sweet for her valentines. 🙂
That evening we had our family Valentines date. The boys gave us girls some sweet cards and flowers then took us to dinner at Yamatos. Â The kids love watching them cook with the fire!
Saturday we had Charlie’s basketball game then lunch at the Hensons.  Devin’s granny came to town.  She spent time teaching me to knit. 🙂 Let me tell you…if someone gives you a knitted gift, treasure it! Whew!
After that we headed home for family nap time. Then I painted my sweet AC’s nails and the kiddos headed to Granny and Papa’s for a sleepover so Mommy and Daddy could have a date night. We tried out a new place in the Vista called Hickory Tavern then Kaminsky’s for dessert. It was an early night for us because we were up at 4:45 AM to take Devin to the airport for a work trip! The kids had a BLAST at their sleepover…papa built a fire outside, they had a movie night, and granny even made them pink, heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast!

So thankful and so blessed!
