Several years ago, Mrs. Amy went to Korea and brought back these wooden ducks. They are traditionally used in wedding ceremonies. Supposedly, when they are facing each other there is harmony in the marriage, but if one or more are facing away from each other, it symbolizes someone is upset. Well, ours are sitting on top of our piano. Several months ago when I was dusting I noticed them facing away from each other. I asked the kids about it and Anna Claire told me she turned them around because she saw that I was upset with Devin. Last week, I noticed they were turned around again. I talked with AC about it…reminding her how much we love each other and that even mommies and daddies can have disagreements, but that we will always love each other. Moms and dads, our kiddos are watching, so let’s be careful with our words and aware of little listening ears!
In other news…Charlie had is first football game of the season. The Gators are off to a great start!

Our babies did Puggles and Cubbies when they were younger at AWANAS. The past couple years, they have enjoyed going to Sparks and T&T on ‘bring a friend night’ with the Broadwells. They went last Wednesday at we enjoyed dinner out with Cortney and Jeffrey.

I’ve enjoyed some beautiful sunrises during my long runs on Saturdays.
We are enjoying our new porch! D and some friends enjoyed a night of cards and college football out there last Saturday evening. And our indoor cat and outdoor cat now like each other!!
Fun at HiWire for a birthday party!
My Pa made some vegetable beef soup and shared with us and I made some potato soup last Saturday. Yum! Maybe we will start having cooler fall temps soon and can enjoy more meals like this. 🙂
AC is practicing her pound cake to enter in the state fair in a couple weeks.
Sunday afternoon naps are great!
Good fellowship…I don’t have pictures, but we are SO glad our small group has started back. The first two weeks have been great! We love the fellowship and the kids have a great time playing with all the other kids. And I really enjoyed dinner last night with some sweet friends from church! Love them!
Last but not least…funny story. The kids were playing something…not quite sure what…but they tied this pink thing to the string for our attic ladder. Well, Devin was the last person going to bed that night and the hallway was dark and he ran into it. It scared him to death! Haha!
Oh, and one more thing…I love Facebook memories! Here’s something that popped up on my memories that Charlie said when he was 4:

I love having lunch with them at school.
Here are some pictures from an escape room challenge they did at school. 🙂

Friday morning Nana, Granny, and Papa joined them at school for a grandparents breakfast.
Saturday Granny, Papa, and Aunt Mel whisked the kids away for a fun day at the museum, a new restaurant downtown, and some shopping. They had a blast!

Sunday we went to church and then celebrated Aunt Spencer’s birthday.

Here are the canvases we painted with Anna Claire, Charlie, and their cousins for their grandparents.

Monday morning Charlie and Devin headed to a two hour indoor football practice while AC and I went to see Leap with some friends and then to the gym for her to practice for her upcoming meet.
Our outdoor cat was happy we had a screen porch during the hurricane.
Tuesday we had a two hour delay from school which was wonderful! After school we headed to Oakleaf to sing and have devotionals with the residents. We brought cupcakes since it was Aunt Spencer’s birthday and it was crazy sock day there so we had to participate!

Last but not least, here are a couple other random things from the past couple weeks…J came to hang out with us one evening and we had so much fun!
We’ve had some cool mornings that have required jackets…but we’re hanging on to these warmer days as long as we can!
Check out these little gamecocks over the years!
Their school had a spirit night at Chick-fil-A which turned out great!
That’s all for now! We sure do love our little third graders!

Saturday morning we headed to the soccer fields to watch the Broadwell kiddos. 🙂

After the game, AC had a fun playdate with friends from school. They painted rocks to hide, ate pizza, and had a great time playing together.
While she was away, Devin, Charlie, and I had our own little football party with boiled peanuts, chips and salsa, and naps for the boys! Haha! (that was during the Clemson game….they were wide awake for the Gamecock game!)

Go Gamecocks!!
After that we headed to Uncle Randy’s 60th birthday party. We had a wonderful time with the Bradley side of the family. 🙂

Sunday was a beautiful day! After church and lunch with the Broadwells, Devin went with some friends to play golf, Charlie spent the afternoon swimming and playing with Bryson(**quick funny side story…while C was at their house, I got a phone call, he said, “Momma, have I told you you’re the best mom in the world?” He wanted to stay and eat supper so I guess he was buttering me up!), and AC hung out at home with me and painted, played, and watched a new movie. That night Charlie got to stay up late and draft his team for Fantasy Football. Oh he was so excited!!

Monday the Brazells stopped by to tell us bye before they headed home. After that we went to Nana and Grandpa’s house to cookout. 🙂 The food was yummy and the kids had fun playing badminton outside with Grandpa! That night when we got home, we got to enjoy our new screen porch!! Yay!

It was a great, long weekend.
