"Happy Thanksgiving Back"

We got to have the ATL Guymon's for Thanksgiving weekend AND there was snow on the ground! It was almost like we were at home. It was delightful!

I think this is Connor reading sweetly to Luke.

Rachelle and I spent all morning in the kitchen, but still didn't have time to finish the last of the dishes. Hence, the towels over the sink so that we didn't have to serve our food in a messy kitchen.

Our international guests: Peter and Martina. They survived the chaos and provided the fresh flowers.

 Cutest Twinnies!

Jace was a master babysitter while I worked in the kitchen. I could use him every day, for sure.

Once again Lucas scored big for us! Ty's been eating about .5 pieces of candy per day, Lucas is about .75/pocpd and I am at 9.0/pocpd.

Early October

Who doesn't want 2 FREE dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme? Especially when the only thing you have to do to look like a pirate is add a hat and an eye patch to your ensemble. There are some perks to wearing sweats and a t-shirt every day, with your hair in a tight bun, that just happens to fit underneath the pirate hat perfectly. Voila!

Just working through a few, quick emails.

We scheduled a hair cut appt. when we knew Jason was coming to town. He was happy to help! Lucas...not so much,

But luckily the barber treats the client and his family to ice cream after the appointment.
Image
We headed to GA for some quick family time with our favorite Southern cousins.
Image
Image
Of course we needed to hike Stone Mountain, since it's the biggest attraction in Georgia. Lucas insisted on walking up the mile-high mountain.

What a fun month shared with Standifird and Guymon family!

29 and 27

Our birthday celebrations were a bit more exciting this year since we have friends to celebrate with. Tyler's 29th was celebrated with gourmet homemade pizzas and Cindy Ingersoll's peach pie.

11 days later we celebrated my birthday with Pizza Hut in the park and board games.

Both days were wonderful, thanks to family and friends. We look forward to this month all year long because checking the mail is exciting. Instead of our usual bills and adds we get package after package from those we love! Happy birthday to us! Let's hope this years goes by slowly--Ty will be 30 in no time!

4th of "July"

We weren't about to sit around in the rain with no family on the 4th of July when we knew our family was together in the sun BBQing. So, we headed to a cabin in North Carolina and enjoyed the rain, cool weather, mountains and just pretended it was the 4th of February. Our Alldredge friends came along and brought the party.

Our first stop was Ashville, NC, where we took our 4th of July photo. What is more American than a graffiti wall? (Luckily Lucas had a patriotic outfit, thanks to Heather, because my orange-redish shirt and Ty's white shirt was far from festive.)

We made it to the cabin just in time to discover that all firework shows, parades and festivities were cancelled due to rain.

Friday morning we headed to Grandfather Mountain to experience the hanging bridge of NC, but were turned off when it cost $20 per person. Instead we went to Boon, NC, as in Daniel Boon, to enjoy a free lookout, but were discouraged when the clouds rolled in and there was nothing to see. So we ate a delicious sandwich, took a family pic. at Appalachian campus and laughed when we returned to the cabin 9 hours later seeing nothing on our list.

He was a trooper all weekend, although you would never know by his new camera faces.
