Carter is 2 months

My baby boy is already 2 months old. He is so much fun. The girls constantly smother him with love. He is very much a mama's boy, and when he sees me he pants like a puppy and makes all kinds of grunting noises. He holds his head up well, and he tries so hard to roll onto his tummy. I'm not rushing anything though. I'm enjoying my time snuggling him & I don't care if Tyler says I spoil him :)

This video I took one morning after he woke up. He is so happy in the mornings, so I had to capture it on video. It's long, but he just kept talking to me that I couldn't stop it.

A day out

While the kids and I were staying at my aunt Jodi's house she took us out on her days off. It was a nice break from online house hunting.

First we went to Story time at the library.

We are so grateful to Dave & Jodi for letting us stay with them for as long as we did. They were so awesome!

Kate turns 2!

Our little Katers turned 2 on December 5th. It's hard for me to believe she's already 2!

Some of her favorite things are:

For Kate's birthday Papa sent her a package in the mail....

She was so excited!

Since we haven't made a whole lot of friends here yet, we had a family party. On Friday night (the 3rd) we took her to Steak'n'Shake for dinner. We let her have some soda, and she ordered Mac'n'cheese.

She wasn't angry, she was just making her angry face haha!

They gave her a free cookie since it was her birthday

The next morning we made Kate's favorite breakfast, pancakes. She ate her usual 3 (Tyler & I usually eat 2)

When she finally got the wrapping paper off, she found a little people's big car track.

Notice the outfit change. He had a blow out up to his armpits and had to have an emergency bath and outfit change haha!

Then we went to Bass Pro. The girls got to shoot the fake animals

Kate really enjoyed it.

Then we waited in line for Santa. Kate got really tired of waiting...

After that long ordeal we went home to have dinner, cake, and root beer.

Lucky for Kate she didn't get in trouble for pouring out her soda everywhere.

I think she had a fun time!

Since Sunday was her actual birthday we took purple cupcakes in to nursery. I forgot to take a picture of them since church is at 8:30 am. And lucky for our kids, they got to eat cup cakes for breakfast :/

Best Buds

During the months of September and October we lived with Tyler's dad and brother, Parker. Tyler was gone working for a few weeks in California. The girls had a hard time without their daddy. Kate became awfully close to her uncle Parker. It's hard to believe she will be 4 when he gets home from his mission.

This is one of my very favorite pictures of Kate. She makes this big smiley face all the time, but get out a camera and away it goes. Figures that it would take Uncle Parky to get her to smile for the camera.

When I had my weekly doctor's appointments I would go at 6:30 am to be there by 8 am (9am UT time). Kate is such a light sleeper, and she would often wake up while I was getting ready. So, we would take her and put her in bed with Uncle Parky.

It's hard to believe now, but this was taken a year ago, and this is what would happen every time he came near her haha! This picture was taken to prove it...

But, they are best buddies now!

Every time he came home, or walked in the room she would yell "Parky" really loud and run to him.

Tyler's brother Parker got his mission call to.....

Tulsa, Oklahoma

So, this isn't new news to our family, but we are still so excited for him. (especially since we will be so close to him ;)

He enters the mtc on March 2nd.

This is such a great picture of his best friends. Taylor is going to Englad and has already entered the mtc. Micah is going to Virginia and enters the mtc tomorrow. They get to serve at the same time, and come home together. The girls are sure going to miss their uncles though.
