ANNIVERSARY!!

ImageTomorrow will be mine and Tyson's 3 year wedding anniversary. I'm so lucky to have him in my life. He works so hard!! I thought I'd list 3 things that I love since we have been together:


1. Our wedding day (obviously!!)

2. Our trip to California. It was full of visiting his Marine buddies (who treat me like there sister). We also got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Martin.

3. His graduation from the ISU Law Enforcement program. This will be a great carrier for Tyson and I know he will continue his education so that he can get a great job.

I'm so thankful for his service in the Marines. He is truly on of the "few".

Shooting & A Graduation!!

Yesterday Tyson graduated from the ISU Law Enforcement Program. I'm so proud of him because he worked full time and went to school full time. He was on the Deans in the Spring and I am sure he will be on it again for Fall.

His class elected him for Class President and so he spoke during the graduation along with a few other officers. I thought everything turned out pretty good but Tyson wanted it to be better. Tyson also got Marksman for his shooting score of 97.8%.

Right now we are just waiting for him to be hired on......somewhere......Hopefully we will get lucky soon and everything will be great!!!



A few weeks ago Tyson and I went shooting. We did a lot of fun drills with the pistol: walking forward and backwards while shooting. We did 2 round bursts and lots of fun things. Below are picks of me sportin' the pistol grip shotgun and shooting our A/R.

Hey Everybody,


You know how on your dashboard you can add blogs you "follow". Do you know how to delete them off...not just hide.....but delete??? I totally added a friends blog.....well I totally had the url wrong and it is to a family I have no idea who they are. HAHA!! I just want them off cause I do not follow their blog.

Let me know peeps.

I'm at work today and out EMR are down so we can't really see any patients. It is going to be a long.....fun......day?!?! Thing that sucks is even if we re schedule all our patients I can't go home cause I need my hours......OH......The system might be back up and running in the nxt 10 mins. Wahoo.......NOT!!!

Idaho Falls Zoo - 6-6-11

Kelsie, Carston, Cormac and LuLu (Linda) came up to visit Kelsie's sister Carrie in Idaho Falls and they went to the zoo on my Monday off. So I got to meet them up there and walk through the zoo with them. It was so fun. I haven't been to that zoo for a very long time. One cool thing was we saw the brand new baby zebra. It was born that morning (6-6-11). Below are pictures. The mommy was protecting the baby from the daddy. He would run after the baby.

Memorial Day Weekend 2011

WOW!! I can't believe how much I've been slacking on adding stuff here. Well, for Memorial Day Weekend did our usual traditions. My mom and I potted our plants on Saturday and then Tyson and I went to Field of Heroes on Monday. We met friends Russel and Ashley there. Ashley wasn't able to come out because their little boy Colter fell asleep in the car. Here are pictures:

Bin Laden's death (5-2-11)

So, one thing about this whole Bin Laden thing that is really irritating me is people keep coming back with "hate doesn't kill hate" or "we shouldn't celebrate a death". However, I think that each person can celebrate his death anyway they'd like. We as a society handled it very well I think. People in the middle east and else where celebrate by burning flags and shooting their guns into the air. If you look at that do you think that we shamed ourselves by the way we celebrated this evil mans death. Someone mentioned a post on facebook a friend had made about how "kindness a light" is the way to defeat evil. Sure those things are great and it is great for everyone to forgive and be a better person. However, I do not think that is what defeats cruel men and what has defeated them in the past. I believe that the Jewish people during Nazi rule were kind to whom ever they passed and forgave the men who tortured them. Is this what defeated Hitler? I do not believe so. We are so lucky to be citizens of the United States because we can sit and discuss our feelings and beliefs, but I do not think we should sit and judge each other. Everyone handled this news in the way that best suite them.


I think that is a good enough rant. Everyone enjoy themselves!!

Shooting

So, Tyson and I have been going shooting a lot lately (none of my videos would load). I usually shoot my Ruger 9mm..... unless we decide to forget mine..... and Tyson shoots his Taurus 1911. We went shooting today and below are some of the pics from the day:

ImageIt is so fun to go out and shoot especially when the weather is nice. It is usually pretty windy at the range because it is up in the mountains so I had to put a sweater on. But once I started using the .223 I got really hot. The thing is so heavy. This is probably my 7th or 8th time ever shooting. I kick butt! And I just realized none of Tyson's pictures uploaded off the camera along with our videos. It has been having issues. So when I eventually get this fixed I will update again. Let us all hope for some more great weather!!!
