My mom brought this nativity scene for the girls to color and put on blocks.  I think it turned out really nicely!  My mom is so great!

Hamster Babysitting

Image

Image
Some of our good friends are in America til February so we are babysitting their hamster.  The girls are loving this little guy!  And, just as a reminder that things are not the same as they are in the US...there are little dried fish (complete with eyeballs!) mixed in his hamster food!

L's Office - Furniture Finished!

This is the main room they work in.  There is another desk next to L's for the other employee.

A lot of books about soil! This is in the same room as the picture directly above it.

Conference table (view when you walk into the office).  The door on the left leads to a kitchen and the door on the right to a bathroom.

So happy for L that he has finally finished making all of his office furniture.  It looks very nice!  Special thanks to our friend and mentor Brad who helped immensely when he came to visit!

Ag Fair

Image
 Image
This is one of the best snacks in the world!  Its basically a big bar of nut-dried fruit-honey-yumminess! You buy it by the pound (about $6.50 a pound) and they just cut off a slice from the big bar.

I'm so proud of my handsome hubby!

We hired a van to take us there and borrowed a carseat from a friend.  Addy was so tired by the end!  We're actually hoping to buy a family car in the next several months.  We are waiting for taxis for up to 30 minutes sometimes and also feel we will be more effective if we have a reliable form of transportation.  We are also looking forward to getting our babies in carseats!

Once a year there is a huge agricultural fair held about an hour and a half from our city.  Over 100,000 people come!  L was there all week but my parents, the girls and I just went for a day.  We came towards the end of things when people had already started to clear out but as you can see it was still pretty packed.  Hoping this will generate some good business for L.

While my parents were here we stumbled upon a really fun indoor playground at a local mall.  It had a playground section and a sandbox section!  My mom and I took the girls and had a great morning.

This little garden spot became one of our favorite places before the heat was turned on!  It was so much warmer out there and so we spent as much time there as possible!  Its a pretty small space but it worked!

Thanksgiving

My mom teaching me how to roast a turkey...not exactly sure how it would have turned out if she hadn't been here to help!  It was very special to have my parents here for Thanksgiving.

Ella made these cute little turkey appetizers for all the kids

Have tried over and over again to rotate this picture but to no avail...still wanted to give you a closer view of Ella's turkeys (I got this idea from one of my favorite FIAR blogs).
